ԵՐԵՎԱՆ, 10 ՍԵՊՏԵՄԲԵՐԻ, ԱՐՄԵՆՊՐԵՍ: ԱՄՆ-ի Մակքեյնի միջազգային առաջնորդության  ինստիտուտի մարդու իրավունքների եւ դեմոկրատիայի գծով տնօրեն, պետքարտուղարի նախկին տեղակալ Դեւիդ Կրամերը եւ Ադրբեջանում ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին դեսպան, ներկայում Corc Meyson համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր Ռիչարդ Կոզլարիչը The Washington Post թերթում Ադրբեջանի իշխանությանը խստորեն քննադատող եւ ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբամային Բաքվի դեմ «Õ �րոշիչ միջոցառումների» կոչ անող հոդվածում կարծիք են հայտնել, որ ԱՄՆ-ն պետք է հետ կանչի Ադրբեջանում իր դեսպանին:

Հեղինակները համոզմունք ենք հայտնել, որ մարդու իրավունքները ոտնահարող Ադրբեջանի իշխանավորների դեմ անցյալում ԱՄՆ-ը պատժամիջոցներ կիրառելու նախաձեռնություններ ունեցել է, սակայն այսօր Բաքվի վերաբերյալ նույնն անելու համար Օբամային բոլորովին էլ օրենսդրական ակտ անհրաժեշտ չէ, եւ այդ պատժամիջոցները նա կարող է կիրառել նաեւ ելնելով առկա նախագահական լիազորություններից:

Հոդվածում ԱՄՆ-ին առաջարկվում է ներկայում շարունակաբար վատացող Ադրբեջանի տնտեսությունը փրկելու համար չօժանդակել Արժույթի միջազգային հիմնադրամի կամ Համաշխարհային բանկի կողմից Բաքվին տրամադրվելիք հնարավոր օգնությանը:

Հեղինակների կարծիքով` քանի դեռ Ադրբեջանն ազատ չի արձակել բոլոր քաղբանտարկյալներին եւ դադարեցրել պետական ԶԼՄ-ների կողմից հակաամերիկյան հռետորաբանությունը, ԱՄՆ-ն պետք է երկարաժամկետ խորհրդատվությունների համար հետ կանչի Ադրբեջանում իր դեսպանին:

«Ադրբեջանի խնդիրը ոչ թե Ալիեւի նվազ լիազորությունների, այլ այդ ուժը սխալ ուղղությամբ` անմեղ մարդկանց դեմ շրջելու մեջ է»,- գրում են Կրամերն ու Կոզլարիչը:
