Չեմպիոնների լիգայի խաղարկության գործող չեմպիոն Մադրիդի «Ռեալ»- ն իր տիտղոսի պաշտպանությունն սկսում է Լիսաբոնի «Սպորտինգ»-ի հետ խաղով: F խմբի մյուս դիմակայությունում հանդիպելու են լեհական «Լեգիա»-ն և Դորտմունդի  «Բորուսիա»-ն: «Արմենպրես»-ը ներկայա ցնում է խմբի նախախաղային  անոնսը:

Արքայական ակումբը հիանալի է սկսել Իսպանիայի առաջնությունը և անցկացրած 3 տուրից հետո ունի 100%-անոց արդյունք:  Սպորտինգ»-ը ևս ետ չի մնում մադրիդցիներից: Պորտուգալիայի առաջնությունում Ռոնալդուի նախկին թիմը 4 տուրերում էլ կարողացել է հաղթել մրցակիցներին: Մադրիդի «Ռեալ»-ը դիմակայության անվիճելի ֆավորիտն է: Թիմերը իրենց պատմության ընթացքում եվրոպական մրցասպարեզում հանդիպել են 4 անգամ: 1994 թվականին գավաթակիրների գավաթում «Ռեալ»-ը 2 խաղերի արդյունքում անցել է  «Սպորտինգ»-ին: Առաջին խաղը Մադրիդում  ավարտվել է 1-0 հաշվ ով: Պատասխան խաղում «Սպորտինգ»-ը հաղթել է 2-1 հաշվով: Թիմերը հանդիպել են նաև 2000 թվականին չեմպիոնների լիգայի խաղարկության խմբային մրցաշարում: Լիսաբոնում գրանցվել է 2-2 հաշիվը, իսկ ահա Մադրիդում գալակտիկոսը (շատ աստղեր ունենալու պատճառով արքայական ակումբը նաև այսպես են անվանում ) հաղթել է 4-0 հաշվով:

«Ռեալ»-ը պորտուգալական ակումբների հետ հանդիպել է 9 անգամ և ընդամենը մեկ խաղում է ոչ-ոքի արդյունք գրանցել, մնացած խաղերում հաղթել է: «Սպորտինգ»-ը իսպանական ակումբների հետ խաղացել է 10 անգամ. 6 հաղթանակ, 2 պարտություն, 2 ոչ-ոքի:

Այս խմբի մյուս զույգում ՝ «Լեգիա»-ն և Դորտմունդի  «Բորուսիա»-ն երբևէ չեն հանդիպել: Լեհական ակումբը երկրի ազգային առաջնությունում 16 միավորով 1-ին տեղը կիսում է «Ժագիելոնիա» ակումբի հետ: «Բորուսիա»-ն Գերմանիայի առաջնությունում դեռ անկայուն է հանդես գալիս. 1 հաղթանակ, 1 պարտություն: Մրցավեճում ֆավորիտը Դորտմունդի «Բորուսիա»-ն է:

«Լեգիա»-ն գերմանական ակումբների հետ հանդիպել է 4 անգամ. 3 պարտություն, 1 ոչ-ոքի: «Բորուսիա»-ն ընդամենը մեկ խաղ է անցկացրել լեհական ակումբի հետ և կարողացել է հաղթել:
