Լոս Անջելեսի Վուդլենդ Հիլս թաղամասում հրազենային վնասվածքներից 37-ամյա հայ տղամարդ է մահացել, հայտնում է Los Angeles Times-ը՝ հավելելով, որ Հովիկ Կրբոյանի վրա կրակել են, երբ վերջինս բացել է իր տան դուռը:

 Աղբյուրը մանրամասնում է, որ Կրբոյանը, որը տանը եղել է կնոջ ու դստեր հետ, պիցցա էր պատվիրել ու առաքումը ստանալու նպատակով բացել է դուռը: Սակայն, ըստ իրավապահների, պիցցայի առաքչի փոխարեն Կրբոյանին «դիմավորել» են մարդասպանները:

 Նշվում է նաև, որ տղամարդու ուղղությամբ արձակվել է մի քանի կրակոց, ինչից հետո Կրբոյանը մահացել է: Նրա կինն ու երեխան տեղի ունեցածի հետևանքով չեն տուժել:

 Ոստիկանությունը ենթադրում է, որ զոհը ճանաչել է մարդասպաններին:

 «Մենք դեռևս չգիտենք՝ որն է սպանության դրդապատճառը, սակայն նման բնույթի դեպքերը հաճախ կապված են լինում բիզնեսին վերաբերող կամ ներընտանեկան վեճերի հետ»,-նշվում է Լոս Անջելեսի ոստիկանական բաժանմունքի կապիտան Փոլ Վերնոնի հայտարարությունում:
