Ցերեկվա կարճատև քունը գրեթե բոլորի երազանքն է:

Սակայն գիտնականների մի խումբ պարզել է, որ ինքներս մեզ այդ ճոխությունը թույլ տալով մենք կարող ենք ավելացնել շաքարային դիաբետ ունենալու ռիսկերը:

Ըստ հետազոտողների՝ նրանք, ովքեր մեկ ժամից ավելի են քնում ցերեկային ժամերին, 45%-ով մեծացնում են երկրորդ տեսակի շաքարախտ ունենալու ռիսկը:

Սակայն նույն հետազոտությունը նաև պարզել էր, որ ավելի կարճ քունը ռիսկի ավելացման պատճառ չէր հանդիսացել:

Ճապոնիայի մասնագետները ուսումնասիրել են նախկինում արված 21 հետազոտություններ և նույնպես պնդում են, որ ցերեկը մեկ ժամից ավել քնելը կարող է վատ ազդեցություն ունենալ մեր առողջության վրա, մինչ կարճատև քունը կարող է նույնիսկ օգտակար լինել: Այնուամենայնիվ՝ հետազոտողները պնդում են, որ այս բացահայտումները դեռ հետագա հետազոտության կարիք ունեն:

Ցերեկային քունը կարող է մի քանի րոպեից մինչև մի քանի ժամ տևել: Իսկ հաճախականությունը կարող է լինել օրական մեկ անգամյա քնից մինչև մի քանի անգամյա կարճատև քուն:

Գլասգոյի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր Նավիդ Սաթարը նույնպես պնդում է, որ երկար քունը կապված է շաքարախտի հետ:

Ինչպես նաև պրոֆեսոր Սաթարն ասում է, որ ցերեկային ժամերին հաճախակի կարճատև քունը կարող է շաքարային դիաբետ ունենալու նախանշան լինել:
