ԱՄՆ-ն 450.000 դոլար է տրամադրել Մեղրիի Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու վերակառուցման համար

Մեղրի քաղաքի Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու պահպանության ու որմնանկարների վերականգնման նպատակով Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանության կողմից ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարությանը դրամաշնորհ է հատկացվել: Պայմանավորվածության ամրագրման ու աշխատանքների մեկնարկման համար կողմերն այսօր Ազգային պատկերասրահում հանդիսավոր կերպով ստորագրեցին դրամաշնորհի տրամադրման մասին փաստաթուղթը: ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը հիշեցրեց, որ սա մշակութային արժեքների պահպանման համար Հայաստանին տրվող տասներորդ դրամաշնորհն է:
«Գումարները, որոնք տրվում են մեր կողմից, այն արժեքների պահպանման համար են, որոնք անգին ժառանգություն են ոչ միայն տվյալ երկրի, այլև՝ ամբողջ մարդկության համար: ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը հատկացնում է 450.000 ԱՄՆ դոլար Մեղրիի Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու պահպանության և վերականգնման աշխատանքների իրականացման համար»,- նշեց դեսպան Միլսը: Դեսպանի գնահատմամբ՝ եկեղեցում առավել վտանգված հատվածներ կան, որոնք մշակութային գանձ են: «Ամռանը ես եղա այս եկեղեցում ու անչափ տպավորված էի բացառիկ որմնանկարներով»,- նշեց Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպանը: Նշենք, որ Մեղրիի Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցին 17-րդ դարի ինքնատիպ կառույց է և առանցնանում է եզակի որմնանկարներով:
