ԱՄՆ Կապիտոլիումում նշել են Հայաստանի անկախության տոնը

ԱՄՆ Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Էդ Ռոյսը, սենատոր Ռոբերտ Մենենդեսը, Կոնգրեսի հայկական հարցերով հանձնախմբի անդամները Կապիտոլիումի բլրում մասնակցել են Հայաստանի Հանրապետության անկախության 25-րդ տարեդարձին նվիրված արարողությանը: Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախմբից, միջոցառումը կազմակերպել էր Միացյալ Նահանգներում Հայաստանի դեսպանատունը:

Ամերիկացի օրենսդիրները ջերմորեն շնորհավորել են Հայաստանի քառորդ դարյա անկախության առթիվ` խոստանալով շարունակական համագործակցություն հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների հետագա զարգացման, Արցախի անկախության գործընթացին աջակցելու և Հայոց ցեղասպանության հարցում Թուրքիայի ժխտողականության գործում ԱՄՆ մեղսակցության հարցերում:

Միջոցառմանը ելույթով է հանդես եկել ԱՄՆ-ում Հայաստանի դեսպան Գրիգոր Հովհաննիսյանը, ով առաջարկել է օրենսդիրներից յուրաքանչյուրին իր ողջույնի խոսքն ասել պատմական իրադարձության վերաբերյալ:

Հայ դատի ԱՄՆ հանձնախմբի ղեկավար Արամ Համփարյանը մեծապես կարևորել է ԱՄՆ աջակցությունը Հայաստանի անկախության ձեռքբերման և կայացման գործում: Նա ընդգծել է հայ ժողովրդի հանձնառությունը տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության հաստատման հարցում` հիշեցնելով, որ Երևանն ու Ստեփանակերտը կողմ են հրադադարի ռեժիմի ամրապնդմանն ուղղված Ռոյս-Էնգել առաջարկին: Համփարյանը հիշեցրել է նաև միջազգային խաղաղարար առաքելության ոլորտում Հայաստանի ունեցած մասնակցության, միջուկային անվտանգության մարտահրավերների հարցով ԱՄՆ հետ համագործակցության, ինչպես նաև սիրիական ճգնաժամում Հայաստանի առաջնորդության մասին:
