ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի` 71-րդ նստաշրջանի աշխատանքներին մասնակցող ՀՀ արտգործնախարարի պաշտոնակատար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը սեպտեմբերի 22-ին հանդիպեց Եվրոպական Միության արտաքին գործերի և անվտանգության քաղաքականության հարցերով բարձր ներկայացուցիչ, Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինիի հետ: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տե ղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից:
ԵՄ բարձր ներկայացուցիչը շնորհավորեց Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանին Հայաստանի անկախության 25-րդ տարեդարձի կապակցությամբ՝ ընդգծելով, որ Եվրոպական միությունը շարունակելու է սատարել ՀՀ-ում ընթացող բարեփոխումներին։
Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին ողջունեց նոր ընտրական օրենսգրքի շուրջ Հայաստանի իշխանությունների և խորհրդարանական ընդդիմության միջև ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունը՝ նշելով, որ հաջորդ տարի կայանալիք խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին ընդառաջ կարևոր քայլ էր։ Այս համատեքստում Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը շնորհակալություն հայտնեց Եվրամիության կողմից Հայաստանին տարիներ շարունակ ցուցաբերվող օժանդակության համար։
Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը և Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին անդրադարձան սեպտեմբերի 19-ին Բրյուսելում կայացած ՀՀ-ԵՄ նոր շրջանակային համաձայնագրի միջանկյալ բանակցություններին՝ երկուստեք գոհունակություն հայտնելով դրանց արդյունավետ ընթացքի կապակցությամբ:
Զրուցակիցները մտքեր փոխանակեցին քաղաքական երկխոսության, ոլորտային համագործակցության և առևտրային հարցերի ուղղություններով ընթացող բանակցությունների շուրջ։ Կարևորվեց հոկտեմբերի վերջին Երևանում նախատեսված բանակցույթունների հաջորդ փուլի անցկացումը՝ նպատակ ունենալով գործընթացն ավարտել մոտ ապագայում։
Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը ներկայացրեց ղարաբաղյան հիմնախնդրի խաղաղ կարգավորման նպատակով ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահ երկրների կողմից նախաձեռնված Վիեննայի և Սանկտ-Պետերբուրգի գագաթաժողովներին ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունները՝ ընդգծելով, որ մինչ օրս Ադրբեջանը հրաժարվում է կյանքի կոչել դրանք: Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին վերահաստատեց Եվրոպական միության լիակատար աջակցությունը Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների կողմից հիմնահարցի խաղաղ հանգուցալուծման ուղղությամբ գործադրվող ջանքերին։
