Անկախության 25-ամյակին նվիրված զորահանդեսին զինատեսակների ցուցադրությունը բավականին մեծ աղմուկ բարձրացրեց ինչպես ներհայաստանյան տիրույթում, այնպես էլ մեր հակառակորդների մեդիա դաշտում: Տեղեկություններ կան, որ «Իսկանդեր» հրթիռայաին համակարգերը ամիսներ ի վեր Հայաստանում էին, ինչո՞ւ միայն հիմա որոշվեց այդ մասին բարձրաձայնել և ցույց տալ՝ ի սարսափ մեր թշնամիների. «Առաջին լրատվական»- ի հետ զրույցում անդրադառնալով այս հարցին՝ Պաշտպանության նախարի մամուլի խոսնակ Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանը նշեց. «Թույլ տվեք չպատասխանել այդ հարցին, թե կոնկրետ ինչքան ժամանակ է, բայց համալրումը նոր չէ մեր սպառազինության մեջ: Որոշեցինք ցուցադրել, որովհետև ինֆորմացիոն առիթ էր: Բայց այդ մասին որոշակիորեն խոսվել է թե՛ ապրիլյան պատերազմից առաջ, թե՛ պատերազմի ընթացքում, թե՛ դրանից հետո»:

Արծրուն Հովհաննիսյանի դիտարկմամբ՝ չպետք է ուշադրությունը բևեռել միայն «Իսկանդեր»- ի կամ ընդհանրապես զենքի վրա, նրա խոսքով՝ մեր բանակն ուժեղ է, հզոր է և անպարտելի՝ առաջին հերթին միասնական հատկանիշներով և ոչ թե մեկ կամ երկու զինատեսակով. «Ապրիլյան պատերազմը ցույց տվեց, որ մեր ամենաուժեղ տեղը մարդկային, կադրային ռեսուրսն է: Մենք ավելի շատ «Իսկանդերն» օգտագործող սպայի ու զինվորի մասին պիտի խոսենք, քան «Իսկանդերի»: Երկու ծայրահեղության մեջ ենք ընկում. մի ծայրահեղության մեջ էինք մինչև «Իսկանդեր»-ի և «Սմերչ»-ի մասին իմանալը, հիմա էլ երկրորդ ծայրահեղության մեջ ենք, որ եթե ունենք այդ զնեքերը, ուրեմն արդեն հաղթել ենք: Չեմ ուզում այսպիսի ծայրահեղությունների մեջ ընկնենք»:
