1829թ. փետրվարի 26-ին ծնվել է Լիվայ Ստրաուսը՝ մարդ, որին շատ բանով ենք պարտական, առաջին հերթին՝ ջինսեր կրելու ուրախությամբ: Հագուստի ամենատարածված տեսակը ստեղծողի ծննդյան օրվա կապակցությամբ SPLETNIK.RU-ն ներկայացնում է ջինսերի մասին հետաքրքիր փաստեր։

1. Համարվում է, որ կտորի անվանումը, որից պատրաստում են ջինսերը, առաջացել է ֆրանսիական Նիմ քաղաքից՝ այնտեղ պատրաստում էին կոշտ կտոր, որը հիմնականում օգտագործվել է առագաստների համար, կամ դրանցով ծածկում էին նավերի բեռները:

2. Իտալիայի Ջենովա քաղաքում արտադրում էին նման կտոր: Բառը, որը հետո փոխակերպվել է «ջինսերի», կապված է այդ կտորի պատրաստման վայրի հետ:

3. Սկզբում Լիվայ Ստրաուսը տաբատներ էր կարում ամուր կտորից: Նրա առաջին հաճախորդները ոսկի որոնողներն էին:

4. Ժամանակակից ջինսերի նմանությամբ ջինսերը հայտնվել են 1873 թվականին՝ այդ ժամանակ Լիվայ Ստրաուսն ու Ջեյքոբ Դևիսը ստացան պղնձե գամակարերով բանվորական հագուստի պատրաստման պատենտ:

6. Որոշ տվյալների համաձյան՝ Լիվայը արտադրության առաջին տարում վաճառել է մոտ 21 հազար տաբատ ու բաճկոն՝ գամակարերով:

8. Մինչև 1950-ականների սկզբները ջինսերը համարվում էին ոչ պատշաճ հագուստ:

9. 2001թ. Թոմի Հիլֆիգերը Բրիթնի Սփիրսին նվիրեց ջինսեր, որոնք ինչ-որ ժամանակ կրել էր անձամբ Մերիլին Մոնրոն: Ջինսերն այդ ժամանակ գնահատվում էին 75 հազար դոլար:

10. Անջելինա Ջոլին դադարեց կրել ջինսեր մայրության պատճառով: Երեխաների պատճառով նրա զգեստապահարանից ջինսերն անհետացան: «Ազնիվ խոսք, ես չունեմ ոչ մի ջինս: Ես որոշեցի ազատվել դրանցից, երբ սկսեցի կառուցել ընտանիք: Ես պարզապես հասկացա, որ եթե իմ զգեստապահարանում ջինսեր ու մարզաշապիկներ լինեն, դա կլինի միակ հագուստը, որ ես կկրեմ: Այնպես որ՝ ես որոշեցի ազատվել այդ հարմարավետ հագուստից՝ այն ամեն օր կրելու փոխարեն»,- ասել է դերասանուհին:
