Ռուսաստանը կասեցնում Է զինագործական պլուտոնիումի օգտահանման եւ այդ բնագավառում համագործակցության մասին ԱՄՆ-ի հետ կնքված միջկառավարական համաձայնագրի գործողությունը: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի համապատասխան հրամանագիրը հոկտեմբերի 3-ին հրապարակված Է իր ավական տեղեկատվության ինտերնետ-պորտալում:
Փաստաթղթի համաձայն՝ պայմանագրի գործողությունը կասեցվում Է «հանգամանքների արմատական փոփոխման, Ամերիկայի Միացյալ Նահանգների կողմից Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության նկատմամբ ոչ բարեկամական գործողությունների հետեւանքով ռազմավարական կայունության սպառնալիքի ծագման եւ միջազգային պայմանագրերին համապատասխան ավելցուկային զինագործական պլուտոնիումի օգտահանման գծով ստանձնած պարտավորությունների կատարումն ապահովելու ԱՄՆ-ի անկարողության կապակցությամբ»:
ՌԴ-ի ԱԳ նախարարությանը հանձնարարված Է ԱՄՆ-ին ծանուցում ուղարկել մատնանշված փաստաթղթերի գործողության կասեցման վերաբերյալ:
Խոսքը 2010 թվականի պայմանավորվածությունների մասին Է, որոնք վերաբերում են զինագործական պլուտոնիումի ավելցուկների արդյունաբերական օգտահանմանը: 2016 թվականի հունիսին «Ռոսատոմ»-ի ղեկավար Սերգեյ Կիրիենկոն հայտարարել Է, որ Ռուսաստանը, ի տարբերություն ԱՄՆ-ի, կատարել Է իր պարտավորությունները, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
