Եվ այսպես, ամուսինը տուն է վերադարձել և սեղանի վրա գտել է կնոջ թողած նամակը:
Ահա, թե ինչ է այնտեղ գրված եղել…
Թանկագին ամուսին,
Այս նամակով քեզ ուզում եմ ասել, որ ես հեռանում եմ: 7 տարի ես հիանալի կին եմ եղել քեզ համար, բայց փոխարենը ոչինչ չեմ ստացել: Վերջին կաթիլը եղավ քո ղեկավարի զանգը, ով ասաց, որ դուրս ես եկել աշխատանքից:
Անցյալ շաբաթ դու չնկատեցիր ո՛չ իմ նոր սանրվածքը, ո՛չ իմ մանիկյուրը: Դու նույնիսկ թքած ունեիր այն բանի վրա, որ ես քո սիրած ուտեստն էի պատրաստել և նոր գիշերազգեստ էի հագել: Այն ամնն, ինչ արեցիր այդ երեկո, ֆուտբոլ նայեցիր և գնացիր քնելու: Դու դադրեցիր ասել, որ ինձ սիրում ես, ավելին՝ դու դադարեցիր ինձ դիպչել: Չգիտեմ, միգուցե դու այլևս չես սիրում ինձ, կամ ուղղակի ձևացնում ես, բայց արդեն բավական է:
Հ.Գ. Եթե ուզում ես իմանալ՝ ես գնացել եմ Արևմտյան Վիրջինիա, քո եղբոր՝ Կառլի հետ:
Շուտով այդ կնոջ էլեկտրոնային հասցեին նամակ եկավ՝ նախկին ամուսնուց.
Թանկագին նախկին կին,
Քո նամակն ինձ շատ ուրախացրեց: Մենք, իհարկե, ամուսնացած ենք եղել յոթ տարի, բայց այդ ողջ ընթացքում քեզ դժվար էր իդեալական կին համարել: Ֆոտբոլը ես մշտապես վերանայում էի՝ քո փնթփնթոցը չլսելու համար: Ինչ վերաբերվում է քո սանրվածքին, ապա ես նկատել էի դա, բայց այն քեզ ամենևին չէր սազում, այդ պատճառով էլ որոշեցի լռել: Դեռ մանկուց մայրս ինձ ասում էր, եթե չես կարող ինչ-որ լավ բան ասել, ավելի լավ է լռիր:
Ընթրիքի վերաբերյալ… Դու երևի ինձ շփոթել ես եղբորս հետ, որովհետև արդեն մի քանի տարի է, ինչ ես խոզի միս չեմ ուտում: Եվ քո գեղեցիկ ներքնազգեստը ես նկատել եմ: Ուղղակի 49$-ի գնապիտակը, որը մնացել էր դրա վրա, վանեց իմ ցանկությունը, քանի որ դրանից մեկ օր առաջ եղբայրս ինձանից 50$ էր պարտք վերցրել:
Չնայած այս ամեն ինչին, ես հույս ունեի, որ մենք կարող ենք դեռ նոր կյանք սկսել: Բանը նրանում է, որ օրերս ես վիճակախաղով 10. 000. 000 դոլար եմ շահել: Ես հեռացել եմ աշխատանքից և մեզ համար Յամայկայի տոմսեր եմ գնել:
Բայց հիմա դա ոչ մի նշանակություն չունի: Իմ իրավաբանն ասաց, որ քո նամակի շնորհիվ՝ դու չես կարող ինձանից ոչ մի ցենտ պահանջել: Բարով մնաս:
