Սկումբրիան, թունան, սաղմոնը եւ ձկների այլ տեսակները հարուստ են օմեգա 3 ճարպաթթուներով, որոնք վերահսկում են նեյրոնների գործունեությունը: Իսկ սարդինա ձկնատեսակը ավելի մեծ քանակությամբ B խմբի վիտամիններ է պարունակում՝ մասնավորապես B12, ինչը թույլ է տալիս կանխել դեպրեսիան ու ամրացնել երեխայի նյարդային համակարգը:
