Իրաքի վարչապետ Հայդար ալ-Աբադին հայտարարեց Մոսուլ քաղաքի ազատագրման ռազմգործողությունների սկիզբը: Դրանցում ներգրավված են մի շարք ուժեր՝ իրաքյան բանակ, քրդական փեշմերգա (քրդական այլ ուժեր), արաբ ցեղախմբեր, շիական զանազան խմբավորումներ, կոալիցիոն ուժեր և այլն:
Մոսուլը երկու տարուց ավել է ինչ գտնվում է Իսլամական պետության վերահսկողության տակ, և, ըստ ստացվող տեղեկությունների, իսլամականները չեն պատրաստվում առանց կռվի հանձնվել:
Մոսուլի ազատագրման օպերացիայի սկիզբը բավական հաջող է ընտրված՝ երեկ ԻՊ-ը ձեռքից բաց թողեց սիրիական Դաբիկ բնակավայրը, որտեղ, ըստ իսլամական ավանդույթի, պետք է տեղի ունենա մուսուլմաններ-արևմտյան ուժեր ճակատամարտը, որում մուսուլմանները պետք է հաղթեն:
Ինչևէ՝ վերոհիշյալ ճակատամարտը հետաձգվեց, ինչը հոգեբանական ճնշում է իսլամականների վրա, որոնք սպասում էին այդ հաղթական մարտին:
Իրաքյան զինուժին և այլ ուժերին մաղթենք հաջողություն իսլամականների դեմ պայքարում:
