Ադրբեջանական AzerGold ընկերությունը ներկայացրել է Սոթքի ոսկու հանքավայրի այն հատվածում իրականացված աշխատանքների արդյունքները, որը 2020 թվականի պատերազմից հետո անցել է Բաքվի վերահսկողության տակ։ Ադրբեջանում հանքավայրն անվանում են Զոդի կամ Սոյուդլուի հանքավայր։

Ինչպես հաղորդում են ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցները, Քելբաջարի շրջանում Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Բաշիր Հաջիևը ծանոթացել է հանքավայրում նախագծի իրականացման ընթացքին։ AzerGold-ի վարչության նախագահ Զաքիր Իբրահիմովի տվյալներով՝ 2025 թվականի օգոստոսից օբյեկտում իրականացվում են մասշտաբային երկրաբանահետախուզական աշխատանքներ, ներառյալ՝ արխիվային տվյալների վերլուծությունը, տոպոգրաֆիկ քարտեզների կազմումը և մոտ 9 հազար մետր ընդհանուր խորությամբ հորատումը։

Իրականացված հետազոտությունների արդյունքներով՝ հանքավայրի մնացորդային կորզվող պաշարները JORC միջազգային ստանդարտներին համապատասխան գնահատվել են 1,03 միլիոն ունցիա ոսկի։ Ընկերությունում հայտարարել են, որ շարունակում են հետախուզումը ինչպես հարակից, այնպես էլ ավելի հեռու գտնվող տեղամասերում՝ ռեսուրսային բազան մեծացնելու նպատակով։

AzerGold-ում կարծում են, որ հանքավայրի շահագործումը կնպաստի Ադրբեջանի լեռնահանքային արդյունաբերության զարգացմանը և դրական ազդեցություն կունենա տարածաշրջանի սոցիալ-տնտեսական զարգացման վրա։

Բաշիր Հաջիևը նախագիծն անվանել է ռազմավարական կարևոր նշանակություն ունեցող Քելբաջարի շրջանի համար՝ ընդգծելով դրա պոտենցիալ դերը աշխատատեղերի ստեղծման և տարածաշրջանի տնտեսության զարգացման գործում։

Սոթքի ոսկու հանքավայրը 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո հայտնվել է վերահսկողության գծով բաժանված վիճակում։ Հանքավայրի մի մասը գտնվում է Ադրբեջանի վերահսկողության տակ, իսկ մյուս մասը շարունակում է շահագործել Հայաստանը։ Խորհրդային ժամանակաշրջանում հանքավայրը մշակվել է որպես միասնական օբյեկտ և գտնվել է Հայկական ԽՍՀ տնօրինության ներքո։
