Վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանի օրերս կայացած հարցազրույցը հանրության մոտ հույսեր առաջացրեց, թե գոյություն ունեցող տնտեսական կարծրացած համակարգում զգալի փոփոխություններ են նախատեսվում:
Հարցազրույցում մարդկանց հետաքրքրող գլխավոր թեման վերաբերում էր մոնոպոլիաների վերացմանը և տնտեսության մեջ ազատ մրցակցային պայմանների ստեղծման խնդրին: Դա կապված է հիմնականում նրա հետ, որ Կարեն Կարապետյանը հեռուստաընկերություններին տված հարցազրույցում, անդրադառնալով մենաշնորհների, մաքսային համակարգի հարցին, հայտարարել է, որ յուրաքանչյուր ոք կարող է ցանկացած ապրանք ներկրել, իսկ եթե այդ հարցում լինեն խոչընդոտներ, խանգարող հանգամանքներ, կարող են զանգահարել անձամբ իրեն:
Հասարության ներսում ոմանց կողմից «իրեն զանգահարելու» գաղափարն ընդունվեց հումորով, ոմանց կողմից՝ թերահավատությամբ, շատերն էլ փորձեցին վստահել այդ հայտարարությանը: Այսնինքն, ի սկզբանե, ձևավորվել էր ոչ միանշանակ ու ինչ որ տեղ սպասողական իրավիճակ:
Երեկ, սակայն, տեղեկատվություն տարածվեց, որ Կարեն Կարապետյանի հանձնարարականի համաձայն առանձնացվել են կառավարության աշխատակազմի պատասխանատուներ՝ ըստ ոլորտների և հանրությանը ներկայացվել է նրանց կոնտակտային տվյալները, նպատակ ունենալով, որ նրանց միջոցով հանրությունը և գործարար համայնքը կարող են կապ հաստատել, ներկայացնել իրենց խնդիրները և վարչապետին ուղղված հարցերն ու առաջարկությունները:
