«Լռեցնելով Թուրքիայի մեդիան». Human Rights Watch-ը քննադատական զեկույց է հրապարակել

Թուրքիայի կառավարությունը շարունակում է լռեցնել անկախ լրատվամիջոցներին` ջանալով կանխել իր հասցեին հնչեցվող քննադատությունները: 2014 թվականից սրված հարձակումներն ավելի մեծ թափ ստացան 2016 թվականի հուլիսին ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձից հետո` արգելելով երկրի բնակչությանը ստանալ անկախ տեղեկատվություն երկրում ծավալված զարգացումների վերաբերյալ տեղական թերթերի, ռադիոյի և հեռուստատեսության միջոցով: Ինչպես հաղորդում է«Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին նոր` 69-էջանոց զեկույցում գրում է միջազգային իրավապաշտպան Human Rights Watch կազմակերպությունը: Զեկույցը վերնագրվել է հետևյալ կերպ. «Լռեցնելով Թուրքիայի մեդիան. կառավարության կողմից քննադատական մեդիայի նկատմամբ խորացող ճնշումները»:
Զեկույցում իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպությունն արձանագրել է լրագրողների և մեդիա կազմակերպությունների նկատմամբ սպառնալիքներն ու ֆիզիկական բռնությունների դեպքերը, կառավարության միջամտությունը խմբագրական անկախությանը, ճնշումը լրատվամիջոցների նկատմամբ` քննադատ լրագրողներին աշխատանքից հեռացնելը, պետության կողմից մասնավոր լրատվամիջոցների փակումը:
«Թուրքական կառավարության և նախագահի համակարգված ջանքերը` լռեցնելու երկրի լրատվամիջոցներին, նպատակ ունեն կանխելու հանրային քննադատությունները: Արտակարգ իրավիճակների պայմաններում 148 լրագրողների և մեդիա ոլորտի աշխատողների բանտում պահելը, 169 լրատվամիջոցի և պարբերականի փակելը ցույց են տալիս, թե ինչպես է Թուրքիան միտումնավոր անտեսում ժողովրդավարության կենտրոնական սկզբունքները` մարդու իրավունքները և օրենքի գերակայությունը»,- նշել է Human Rights Watch-ի Եվրոպայի և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի տնօրեն Հյու Ուիլիամսոնը:
Կազմակերպությունն արձանագրել է, որ ճնշումներն անդրադառնում են ոչ միայն այն լրագրողներին, ովքեր առնչություն ունեն գյուլենական շարժման հետ, որին Թուրքիայի իշխանությունները մեղադրում են երկրում ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձ նախաձեռնելու մեջ, այլև քրդամետ լրատվամիջոցներին և անկախ ձայներին, ինչպիսին էր «Ջումհուրիեթ» պարբերականը:
Զեկույցը հիմնված է լրագրողների, խմբագիրների, իրավաբանների և ակտիվիստների հետ 61 հարցազրույցի վրա: Կազմակերպությունը հորդորում է Միացյալ Նահանգներին և ԵՄ անդամ երկրներին, Եվրոպայի խորհրդին, ԵԱՀԿ-ին, ՄԱԿ-ի մարդու իրավունքների խորհրդին օգտագործելու իրենց լծակները` ճնշելու Թուրքիայի կառավարությանը հարգելու մամուլի ազատությունը:
