Ֆրանսիայում ընդունված է համբուրել դիմացինի այտերը հանդիպման ժամանակ։

Նոր Զելանդիայում կա հին ավանդույթ, ըստ որի՝ մարդիկ միմյանց ողջունում են քթերը և ճակատները միմյանց հպելով։
Բոտսվանա
Բոտսվանայում մարդիկ պետք է մի քանի պարզ գործողություն անեն՝ միմյանց քաղաքավարի ողջունելու համար։ Պետք է երկարացնել աջ ձեռքը, իսկ ձախ ձեռքը պահել աջ ձեռքի արմունկի վրա։ Ապա պետք է սեղմել դիմացինի ձեռքը և վերադառնալ սովորական կեցվածքին։

Տուվալույում, երբ մարդիկ ողջունում են իրար, միմյանց են հպվում այտերով և խորը շունչ են քաշում։

Հունաստանում ընդունված է մեղմ հարվածել դիմացինի ուսին կամ մեջքին՝ բարևելու ժամանակ։
Քենիա
Քենիայի մարտիկները նորեկներին ողջունելիս նրանց շրջանի մեջ են առնում, ինչից հետո մրցում են, որպեսզի պարզեն, թե ով ավելի բարձր կցատկի։
Մալազիա
Մալազիայում սովորաբար միմյանց մատները իրար են հպում, ինչից հետո ձեռքը դնում են սրտին։
