Ամերիկուհին աչքերի մեջ քիմիկատ կաթեցրեց, որպեսզի իրականացնի մանկության երազանքը (լուսանկարներ)

ԱՄՆ Հյուսիսային Կարոլինա նահանգի 30–ամյա բնակչուհի Ջուել Շապինգը տառապում է մարմնի ամբողջականության նույնականացման խանգարումով. հոգեբանական արատ, որի պատճառով առողջ մարդիկ կարծում են, որ պետք է հաշմանդամ դառնան։ Այս կինը ինքն իրեն օգնեց հաղթահարել ներքին տառապանքներրը` ամենասարսափելի ձևով։
Դեռ մանկուց ամերիկուհին ցանկանում էր կույր լինել։ Դեռահասության տարիներին նա մեծ, սև ակնոցներ էր կրում, իսկ 18 տարեկանում ձեռք բերեց առաջին շուն–ուղեկցին, որոնք վարժեցված են կույրերին ուղեկցելու համար։ Արդեն 20 տարեկանում աղջիկը վարժ գիտեր Բրալյան այբուբենը (կույրերի գիրը)։ Նա նույնիսկ սկսել էր կույր ձևանալ, բայց անգամ դա ներքին բավարարվածություն չէր բերում։
Նրան այդ վիճակում օգնության հասավ կանադացի մի հոգեբան, ով 2006 թ.–ին խորհուրդ տվեց խցանումները բացող քիմիկատից մի քանի կաթիլ կաթեցնել աչքերի մեջ։ Հեղուկն ազդեց ինչպես հարկն էր։ Չնայած բժիշկների ջանքերին` տեսողությունը վերականգնել չհաջողվեց։ Այսօր Ջուելը իրեն լիովին երջանիկ է զգում։
