Dapper Dan’s Boutique
Դենիել Dapper Dan Դեյը խանութի սեփականատեր էր, որ անցել էր գանգստերից մինչև նորաձևության թելադրողի երկար ճանապարհ հիփ-հոփ միջավայրում 1980-ականներին:
Բուտիկը բացվել էր 1982թ., որը 8 տարի հաջողությամբ աշխատում էր: 1992-ին խանութը փակվեց, դրա սեփականատիրոջը մեղադրեցին գրագողության մեջ, ու նա անհետ կորավ երկար ու ձիգ 20 տարով: Հիմա Դենը 70 տարեկան է:

Կարևոր աքսեսուար էին համարվում մարզակոշիկի քուղերը: Նոր գնված կոշիկների քուղերը պարտադիր պետք էր փոխել գունավոր հաստ քուղերով: Դա մի ամբողջ գիտություն էր, որը ապացուցում էր, որ փողոցում ամենահայտնի տղան է։
Polo Ralph Lauren
1980-ականների վերջին , 1990-ականների սկզբին Բրուքլինում հայտնվեցին բանդաներ, որոնք ոտքից գլուխ հագնում էին Polo Ralph Lauren: Նրանք անվանեցին իրենց Lo-Lifes ու բրենդը դարձրին կուլտային: Նրանք ամեն օր թալանում էին թանկ խանութները ու գողանում ապրանքանիշի իրերը:

Ի սկզբանե Կալիֆորնիական բրենդի հագուստը նախատեսված էր սերֆինգիստների համար, սակայն Նյու Յորք այցից հետո ապրանքանիշի հիմնադիր Կառլ Ջոնսը որոշեց այլ լսարանի գրավել՝ վատ շրջանների սևամորթներին, որոնք գումար ունեին ու ուզում էին ծախսել:

Ապրանքանիշը նույնպես ստեղծվել է Կալիֆորնիայում, 1989 թվականին, ոչ առանց Կառլ Ջոնսի օգնության: Karl Kani բրենդի սեփականատերը երազում էր բացել դենիմ արտադրություն ու խաղադրույք էր կատարում հայտնիների վրա՝ նրանց հագուստ տրամադրելով անհատույց օգտագործման համար:
Քանի զգեստներով էին շրջում Պի Դիդդին, Դոկտոր Դրեն, The Notorious-ը B.I.G.-ն, Լիլ Քիմը, Սնուփ Դոգը ու Նեսը, սակայն բրենդի գործերը վերելք ապրեցին, երբ դրանք կրեց Թուփակը:

Քվինսից Դեյմոնդ Ջոնն ու նրա 3 ընկերները հաշվարկել էին հագուստը վաճառել իրենց ընկերական միջավայրում, այդ պատճառով էլ բրենդն անվանեցին՝ FUBU — For Us by Us:
Արտադրությունը կազմակերպվում էր տանը, 1993-ին սկսեցին խոսել ապրանքանիշի մասին, ինչից հետո երիտասարդները որոշեցին մեծացնել հավակնությունները:
