Հետաքրքիր հետազոտություն է անցկացվել Թեհրանի բժշկական գիտությունների համալսարաններից մեկում: Հավաքվել է նիհարել ցանկացող կանաց երկու խումբ` յուրաքանչյուրում 44 կին: Երեք ամիսների ընթացքում կանայք միանման բաներով են սնվել, միակ տարբերությունն այն է եղել, որ մի խմբի կանայք օրական օգտագործել են մեկ թեյի գդալ չամանի սերմ: Համեմունքը խառնել են ոչ յուղոտ յոգուրտի հետ և ավելացրել են աղցանների վրա:

Արդյունքը տպավորիչ էր. Առաջին խմբի կանայք 14% ավելի շատ ճարպային մասսա են կորցրել, քան երկրորդ խմբի կանայք:
