Օքսֆորդի համալսարանի պրոֆեսոր, առաջատար իրավաբան Ջոնաթան Հերինգը իր «How To Argue» գրքում ներկայացրել է հինգ կանոն՝ զուգընկերոջ հետ վիճաբանելիս մշտապես հաղթողի դերում լինելու համար։

1. Մինչեւ ձեր ընտրյալի հետ վիճելը հարկավոր է մտածել, թե ինչի մասին եք պատրաստվում վիճել եւ ինչ եք դուք ցանկանում ձեռք բերել այդ վիճաբանության արդյունքում։ Առաջին հայացքից սա միգուցե ակնհայտ թվա, բայց իրականում այն շատ կարեւոր է։

2. Ձեր փաստարկների ուժեղ եւ թույլ կողմերը գնահատելուց հետո հարկավոր է մտածել ժամանակի եւ վայրի մասին։ Համոզվեք՝ արդյոք համապատասխան վայր եւ ճիշտ ժամանակ եք ընտրել վիճելու համար։

3. Լսեք, թե ինչ է ասում զրուցակիցը։ Վիճելիս շատերն այնքան են բռնկվում, որ չեն ցանկանում լսել դիմացինը։ Սակայն վիճաբանություններում հաղթող դուրս գալու համար պետք է թույլ տալ, որ դիմացինը խոսի։ Ավելին, հարկավոր է 75 տոկոս լսել զրուցակցին, եւ միայն 25 տոկոս խոսել։ Այսպես դուք հեշտությամբ կարող եք ներկայացնել ձեր հակափաստարկները։  

4. Նախօրոք մտածեք խնդրի լուծումը։ Անհարմար իրավիճակից դուրս գալու, վիճաբանությունն ավարտելու եւ ձեր ցանկությանը հասնելու համար հարկավոր է մտածել վիճաբանության ելքը եւ խնդրի լուծում առաջարկել։

5. Նույնիսկ վիճաբանելիս չպետք է մոռանալ փոխադարձ հարգանքի եւ սիրո մասին։ Հետեւաբար, փորձեք պահպանել ձեր հարաբերությունները։
