Наиболее дешевым городом мира в 2018 году оказалась столица охваченной войной Сирийской Арабской Республики — Дамаск.

Об этом говорится в результатах ежегодного исследования специалистов британского журнала The Economist Intelligence Unit.
При составлении данного списка исследователи брали за основу уровень жизни в таком городе как Нью-Йорке.
В число пяти самых наиболее дешевых городов также вошли Каракас (Венесуэла), Алма-Ата (Казахстан), Лагос (Нигерия) и Бангалор (Индия).
Рейтинг самых дорогих городов мира пятый раз подряд возглавил Сингапур. Следом за Сингапуром идут такие дорогостоящие города, как столица Франции Париж, швейцарский Цюрих, специальный район Китая Гонконг и норвежская столица Осло.
Отмечается, что всего в рейтинге фигурирует 133 города.
