Խոսե Էդուարդո դոս Սանտոսը երիտասարդ հասակում միացավ ազատագրական բանակին ու կռվեց անգոլացի տեղացիների կողքին՝ պայքարելով պորտուգալացիների դեմ։ Այն ժամանակ մի քանի սերունդներ շարունակ պորտուգալացիներն իշխանություն ունեին Անգոլայի նկատմամբ, և ինչպես Եվրոպայի կողմից կառավարվող շատ երկրներ, Անգոլան ատում էր այն։ Սանտոսը շուտով արագորեն սկսեց առաջ գնալ իր դիրքով, ու երբ նա և իր տղաները հաղթեցին, նա իշխանությունն իր ձեռքն առավ։

Ադուլյադեջը Թաիլանդի ամենաերկար ծառայող առաջնորդն է և չափազանց մեծ ժողովրդականություն է վայելում թաիլանդցիների շրջանում։ Որքան էլ Բհումիբոլը փորձում էր հնարավորինս գաղտնի պահել իր կարողություններն ու այն, թե ինչպես է կառավարում դա, «Forbes»-ը հրապարակեց նրա կարողության թիվը, և նա ոչինչ չէր կարող անել։ Բացի զենքից, ջազից ու նավարկությունից՝ Բհումիբոլն, ինչպես երևում է, սիրում է նաև գաղտնիքներ պահել։
