Մեր օրերում ամենից շատ բարեգթության, ուրիշի ցավին անտարբեր չմնալու խնդիր ունենք: Կարծես թե սովորել ենք աղքատության մեջ իրենց գոյությունը մի կերպ պահող մեր հայրենանկիցներին: ԱՄՆ-ում բնակվող Հարութ Բալյանը այն քչերից մեկն է, որ օվկիանոսից այն կողմ հետևում է հայրենիքում կատարվող իրադարձություններին: Նրա բազմահազար երկրպագուները տարբեր խնդրանքներով են դիմում ու երգիչը միշտ պատրաստակամ է նրանց օգնելու: Սակայն Արմավիրի մարզի «Արազապ» գյուղում ապրող աղջնակի նամակը նրան տարավ այդ հեռավոր գյուղ:
Երգիչը հնգօրյա այցով Երևանում էր, իր նոր տեսասկավառակի առիթով և գարնանը նախատեսված մենահամերգի համար: Դեռ ԱՄՆ-ում տեսել էր «Կիսաբաց լուսամուտների» այն հաղորդումը, որի ընտանիքի երեխաների ցանկությունն էր տեսնել Հարութին: Առանց տատանվելու, օգնելու մեծ ցանկությամբ մեկնեց այդ գյուղ: Նրանց հանդիպումը այնքան ազդեցիկ էր, սրտահույզ, որ դրամական օգնությունից, առաջին անհրաժեշտության համարվող պարագաներից, սնունդից զատ, նա նույնիսկ իր անձնական իրերից մեկը նվիրեց, որից երբեք չէր բաժանվել: Ընտանիքի անդամները արցունքոտ աչքերով էին նայում սիրելի երգչին` անհավատալին հավատալի էր, անհնարը հնարավոր դարձած:
