Դեպրեսիվ վիճակը խիստ վատացնում է հիշողությունը

Տեխասի համալսարանում գիտնականները զբաղվում են հիշողության խնդիրներով։ Գիտնականների այդ խումբը վերջին հետազոտություններից մեկով փորձել է պարզել, թե մարդկանց հիշողության վրա ինչպիսի ազդեցություն է ունենում դեպրեսիվ վիճակը։
Փորձին մասնակցելու համար կամավորներ են ընտրվել ուսանողներից։ Նրանց ընդհանուր թիվը 75 է եղել, որոնցից 45 բարձր տրամադրություն է ունեցել, իսկ 30-ը տարբեր աստիճանի դեպրեսիվ վիճակներում է գտնվել։
Բոլոր կամավորներին առաջարկվել է հիշել որոշակի հաջորդականությամբ թվեր։ Պարզվել է, որ դեպրեսիվ վիճակում գտնվող մարդն առաջարկված շարքից հիշում է շատ ավելի քիչ թվեր։
Սրանից ելնելով գիտնականները եզրակացրել են, որ դեպրեսիայի վիճակում մարդու ուղեղում անընդհատ պտտվող մտքերը շատ մեծ «տեղ» են զբաղեցնում և սահմանափակում են հիշելու նրա հնարավորությունները։
Եթե դեպրեսիվ այդ վիճակը քրոնիկ է լիում, ապա հիշողությունն իրապես վատանում է, ինչը զգալի խնդիրներ է առաջացնում։
