Գաբրիել Խոսե դե լա Կոնկորդիա «Գաբո» Գարսիա Մարկեսը (06.03.1928 – 17.04.2014 թթ.) եղել է կոլումբիացի գրող, լրագրող, հրատարակիչ և քաղաքական գործիչ: 1982 թվականին Մարկեսն արժանացել է գրականության Նոբելյան մրցանակի: Մոգական ռեալիզմ գրական ուղղության ներկայացուցիչ է:
1. Քեզ թույլ մի՛ տուր մեռնել՝ առանց զգալու սիրածդ էակի հետ քնելու հրաշքը:
2. Մարդիկ, ում սիրում են, ճիշտ կանեին մեռնել իրենց բոլոր իրերի հետ միասին:
3. Ցանկացած իր կենդանի է: Պետք է միայն կարողանալ արթնացնել դրա հոգին:
4. Եթե հանդիպեք ձեր իսկական սիրուն, նա ձեզնից ոչ մի տեղ չի փախչի ո՛չ մեկ շաբաթից, ո՛չ մեկ ամսից, ո՛չ մեկ տարուց:
5. Եթե ինչ-որ բանում ներգրավված է կինը, ես գիտեմ, որ ամեն ինչ լավ կլինի: Ինձ լիովին պարզ է, որ կանայք են ղեկավարում աշխարհը:
