Shabat.am-ը գրում է.

1. Կենսաբանական տեսանկյունից համբույրը տեղեկատվության ամենաընդգրկուն  փոխանակումն է մեկ այլ մարդու հետ: Բույրն ու համը քիմիական հաղորդակցման այն ալիքներն են, որոնք ենթագիտակցորեն հայտնում են` արդյո՞ք համապատասխան են զույգերն իրար:


2. Համբույրը երկարացնում է կյանքը: 80-ականներին անցկացված հետազոտության համաձայն` տղամարդիկ, ովքեր համբուրում են իրենց կանանց աշխատանքի մեկնելուց առաջ, հազվադեպ են վթարների մեջ ընկնում և ավելի մեծ եկամուտ են ունենում:


3. Ասիայում, Աֆրիկայում և Հարավային Ամերիկյում կան համայնքներ, որոնցում համբույրներն ընդունված չեն: Ամերիկայի որոշ նահանգներում համբույ արգելվում է հասարակական վայրերում:


4. Ֆիլեմաֆոբիան խուճապային վախն է համբույրից:


5. Համբույրը ամրացնում է իմունիտետը: Համբույրի ժամանակ մարդիկ բակտերիաներ են փոխանակում, որոնց մեկ հինգերորդ մասը անհատական են, և նոր միկրոօրգանիզմները  ակտիվացնում են իմունային համակարգը` բարձրացնելով օրգանիզմի պաշտպանական գործառույթը:


6. Համբույրները երկար ժամանակով նվազեցնում են սթրեսի հորմոնի` կորտիզոլի  մակարդակը:


7. Ամենաերկարատև համբույրի համաշխարհային ռեկորդը պատկանում է թայլանդցի զույգին: 2013-ին համբուրվել է 58 ժամ  35 րոպե 58 վայրկյան:


8. Համբույրի ժամանակ աշխատում է դեմքի 146 մկան: Դեմքի նմանատիպ մարզանքը կանխում է կնճիռների ձևավորումը, իսկ համբույրի մեկ րոպեն այրում է 26 կալորիա:


9. Գիտնականները պարզել են, որ մեր ուղեղում հատուկ նեյրոններ կան, որոնք օգնում են մթության մեջ գտնել սիրելիի շուրթերը:


10. Համբույրի ժամանակ արտադրվում են նույն քիմիական ազդակները` նյարդային բջիջների միջև, որ արտադրվում են ֆիզիկական գերծանրաբեռնվածության կամ կոկաինի ընդունման ժամանակ: Սիրտն սկսում է ավելի արագ բաբախել, իսկ շունչն արագանում է:

11.Միջինում յուրաքանչյուր մարդ համբուրվելու վրա կյանքի ընթացքում ծախսում է 336 ժամ:
