Նախօրին հայտնի դարձավ, որ Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիայի նախագահ Արթուր Վանեցյանը ազգային հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ է նշանակել Աբրահամ Խաշմանյանին, իսկ ՀՖՖ գործկոմը միաձայն հավանություն է տվել այդ որոշմանը: 

Այս անգամ ևս մեր ֆեդերացիան նախապատվություն տվեց հայաստանցի մարզչի, ինչը հարուցեց երկրպագուների որոշակի շրջանակների դժգոհությունը, քանի որ երկար ժամանակ է՝ խոսվում է դրսից հայտնի ու թանկ վարձատրվող մասնագետ հրավիրելու անհրաժեշտության մասին: 

Աբրահամ Խաշմանյանն իսկապես պրոֆեսիոնալ է, նա անցած տարիների ընթացքում Հայաստանի թիմերի հետ առաջնության և գավաթի խաղերում տիտղոսներ է նվաճել, սակայն այդպես էլ չի նշանակվել հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ:

«Փաստի» հավաստի աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, Խաշմանյանին այս պաշտոնում նշանակելու հարցը բազմիցս քննարկվել է նաև Ռուբեն Հայրապետյանի ժամանակ, սակայն վերջինս ու Խաշմանյանը իրար հետ լեզու չեն գտել: 

Նույնիսկ մեկ անգամ Հայրապետյանը կանչել է Խաշմանյանին «Հարսնաքար», որտեղ մի քանի հոգու ներկայությամբ առաջարկել է զբաղեցնել գլխավոր մարզչի պաշտոնը՝ պայմանով, որ անելու է այն, ինչ ինքն է ասում, նույնիսկ կազմը ՀՖՖ նախագահն է որոշելու, ինչին Խաշմանյանը բացասական պատասխան է տվել՝ հարուցելով Հայրապետյանի զայրույթը: 

Իրազեկ մարդիկ մեզ պատմեցին, որ ոչ վաղ անցյալի այս դեպքն ավարտվել է նրանով, որ Հայրապետյանը նույնիսկ շիշ է շպրտել Աբրահամ Խաշմանյանի ուղղությամբ ու դրանից հետո հրապարակավ մշտապես վատ է արտահայտվել վերջինիս հասցեին: 

Թե ինչ հաջողություններ կունենա Հայաստանի հավաքականը Աբրահամ Խաշմանյանի ղեկավարման շրջանում, ցույց կտա ժամանակը: 

Բայց այն, որ նա սկզբունքային և պրոֆեսիոնալ մարզիչ է, ապացուցված փաստ է:
