Գիտնականները պայքարում են Թայվանի հնագույն «Թագուհու գլուխ» կոչվող ժայռազանգվածը էրոզիայից փրկելու համար,-տեղեկացնում է Past.am-ը: Ամեն տարի ավելի քան 3 մլն մարդ է այցելում հյուսիսային Յեհլիուում գտնվող ծովափնյա տեսարժան վայրերից մեկը, որը Անգլիայի թագուհի Էլիզաբեթ Առաջինին նմանության պատճառով կոչվում է «Թագուհու գլուխ»: Բայց արձանի քայքայումը նշանակում է, որ 4000 տարեկան կառույցը կարող է գլխիվայր ընկնել:
Ըստ մասնագետների՝ քանդակի վիզը կարող է շատ բարակել ու մոտակա 10 տարվա ընթացքում ընկնել, նաև ուժեղ երկրաշարժն ու թայֆունը կարող են տապալել: Ամեն տարի ժայռազանգվածի վիզը 1,5-1,6 սմ-ով բարակում է, ինչը դժվարացնում է 1,3 տոննա գլխի համար հենարան ծառայելու փաստը:
Հետազոտությունները ցույց են տվել, որ վզի ամրությունը կարելի է եռակի ավելացնել, եթե կարողանա դիմակայել էրոզիային: Մասնագետները նոր տեխնոլոգիաներով հատուկ ներկեր են պատրաստել, որոնք, ենթադրվում էր՝ կօգնեին պաշտպանել այն էրոզիայից, սակայն հաջողություն չի գրանցվել: Ներկերը ճաքճքել են: Մինչ ոմանք փորձում են լուծումներ գտնել, գիտնականների մեկ այլ խումբ կարծում է, որ պետք է թույլ տան բնությանն անել իր գործը:
Առաջարկ է եղել նաև նրա շուրջը ապակե շինություն կառուցել: Դա նույնպես կօգներ էրոզիայից պաշտպանելուն, քանի որ ներկերը կարող են լրացուցիչ վնաս հասցնել: Տապալումը նաև ֆինանսական մեծ վնասներ կհասցնի պետությանը, որովհետև Յեհլիուն ամեն տարի 27.7 մլն դոլար եկամուտ է բերում երկրին: Նույնիսկ տապալվելուց հետո այն կշարունակի մնալ տեսարժան վայր՝ տեղափոխվելով թանգարան:
