Կլարա Հակոբյանը ծնվել է 1924 թ. Նյու Ջերսիում։ Նրա ծնողները ցեղասպանությունից փրկվելու նպատակով արտագաղթել էին ԱՄՆ։ Սկզբում աղջկա կյանքը դժվար էր. միջոցները մի կերպ էին բավարարում սննդի հայթհայթման համար։ Տեղափոխվելով Սան Ֆրանցիսկո, աղջկա ծնողները կարողանում են աշխատանքի ընդունվել եւ նրան հաջողվում է ստանալ կրթություն։ Իր ապագա ամուսնու՝ Փոլ Ջոբսի հետ, Կլարան ծանոթացել է հենց Սան Ֆրանցիսկոյում։
Նրանց ծանոթությունը կայացել է ընդհանուր ընկերների կողմից կազմակերպված խնջույքի ժամանակ։ Տղան երիտասարդ հայուհու վրա մեծ տպավորություն է թողնում, երբ խնջույքին ներկայանում է շքեղ ավտոմեքենայով։ Այդ ժամանակ ոչ բոլորն իրենց կարող էին թույլ տալ նման շքեղություն։
Հանդիպումից տասն օր անց նրանք ամուսնանում են։
Նրանց ընտանեկան կյանքը խաղաղ ու երջանիկ էր, սակայն նրանք չեն կարողանում երեխա ունենալ։
9 տարվա համատեղ կյանքից հետո նրանք որոշում են որդեգրել փոքրիկ տղայի, ում էլ կոչում են Սթիվեն Պոլ Ջոբս։
Apple-ի հիմնադիր Սթիվ Ջոբսը պատմում էր, որ ծնողները երբեք չեն թաքցրել իր ծագման պատմությունը։
«Երբ 6 տարեկան էի, իմ ծագման պատմությունը պատմեցի մեր հարեւանուհուն եւ նա ինձ հարցրեց. այսինքն քո իսկական ծնողները քեզ չե՞ն սիրել… այդ ժամանակ մոտեցավ մայրս ու ասաց ինձ, որ ես յուրահատուկ եմ ու նրանք են իմ ընտանիքը»,- պատմել է Ջոբսը։
Իր կենսաբանական ծնողների համար Սթիվն անցանկալի երեխա էր։ Երբ նա ծնվեց, նրանից հրաժարվեցին ու տվեցին քալիֆորնիական երիտասարդ ընտանիքին։
Այդ շրջանում Կլարան աշխատում էր որպես հաշվապահ, իսկ Ջոբսի հայրը որպես մեխանիկ աշխատում էր մի ընկերությունում, որն արտադրում էր լազերային սարքավորումներ։ Հենց հայրը որդուն ծանոթացրեց էլեկտրոնիկային, համակարգչային տեխնիկային եւ նոր սարքավորումներին, որոնք հետագայում անդրադարձան Ջոբսի կարիերայի վրա։
1970-ականներին Սթիվ Ջովսը Apple-ի համահիմնադիր Սթիվեն Ոզնյակի հետ միասին ստեղծում է առաջին հաջողակ կոմերցիոն համակարգիչներից մեկը։
Իր կարիերայի գագաթնակետում Սթիվն այդպես էլ չկարողացավ ներել իր կենսաբանական ծնողների քայլը։ Երկար տարիներ նա այդպես էլ չկարողացավ հարթել նրանց հետ հարաբերությունները։
Սթիվին դուր չէր գալիս, երբ Պոլին եւ Կլարային անվանում էին իր խորթ ծնողներ։ «Նրանք իմ իսկական ծնողներն են»,- ասում էր նա։
Կլարան մահացել է 1986 թ., իսկ Պոլը տարիներ անց։ Սթիվը շատ էր կապված Կլարայի հետ, նա Սթիվին օրինակ էր ծառայում եւ նրանում միայն սեր սերմանում։
Կլարա Հակոբյանի դերը Սթիվի դաստիարակության հարցում շատ մեծ է։
