Հորդառատ անձրևից հետո Չիլիի անապատը ծածկվել է մանուշակագույն, վառ վարդագույն ու սպիտակ ծաղիկներով,-տեղեկացնում է Past.am-ը: Մարտին տևած այդ ջրհեղեղները խլել էին 28 մարդու կյանք և առաջացրել հսկայական ջրափոսեր: Բայց շաբաթներ անց անբերրի համարվող Ատակամա անապատը ծածկվել է ծաղիկների գորգով:
Ատակամայի Ազգային զբոսաշրջության ծառայության տնօրեն Դանիել Դիասը նշել է, որ Ատակամայի շրջանը պատժվել և միևնույն ժամանակ օրհնվել է ծաղկող անապատի այս երևույթով: Նման բան միայն անձրևներից հետո է պատահում և դրանք կլիմայի փոփոխությունների արդյունք են: Այս շրջանի համար ծաղիկների հանկարծակի հայտնվելը լավագույն հարստությունն է:
Տասնյակ հազարավոր զբոսաշրջիկներ են այցելել շրջան, որպեսզի հիանան այդ առեղծվածային երևույթի հմայքով: Սա այս տարվա մեջ գրանցված երկրորդ նմանատիպ դեպքն էր: Այն ապշեցրել է բոլորին: Պատճառը եղանակային փոփոխություններն են:
Այս տարվա փոփոխությունները ամենասարսափելին են լինելու: Դրանք արդեն ջրհեղեղների տեսքով երևում են Հարավային Աֆրիկայում: Երևույթը կոչվում է El Niño, որը թարգմանաբար իսպաներենով նշանակում է «փոքր տղա կամ Քրիստոս երեխա»: Առաջանում է այն ժամանակ, երբ Խաղաղ օվկիանոսի հասարակածային ջրերը զգալիորեն տաքանում են:
