Արդեն շատ տարիներ գիտնականները չեն կարողանում բացահայտել Շոտլանդիայի Արևելյան Դանբարտոնշիր բնակավայրի կամրջի գաղտնիքը։ Առանց որևէ պատճառի դրա վրայից դեպի անդունդն են ցատկել մոտ 600 շուն, որոնցից 50-ը մահացել են։
20-րդ դարի երկրորդ կեսից սկսած՝ ամեն ամիս միևնույն օրն անհայտ պատճառով կամրջի վրա հայտնված շները հանկարծակի ներքև էին ցատկում 15 մետր բարձրությունից և քարերին խփվում։ Ամենասարասափելին այն էր, որ կենդանիները, որոնք վայր ընկնելով կենդանի էին մնում, կրկին բարձրանում էին կամրջի վրա՝ ցած նետվելու համար։
Մարդիկ նկատել են, որ շները ցատկում են միևնույն հատվածից։ Եվ պետք է նշել, որ հիմար շներ չէին ցատկողները։
Այս առեղծվածային երևույթը բացատրելու համար գիտնականները մեկ անգամ չէ, որ հետազոտություններ են անցկացրել։  Նույնիսկ վարկած կար, որ շները ցատկում են կամրջի տակ գտնվող ջրաքիսերի ու առնետների հոտն առնելու պատճառով։ Սակայն բոլորը հասկանում են, որ ոչ մի կենդանի չի նետվի անդունդ առնետների պատճառով։
Ամենատարբեր վարկածների մեջ մարդիկ ավելի ու ավելի շատ են հակվում դեպի ուրվականները։ Իսկ պատճառն այն է, որ այս կամրջի մետ է գտնվում Օվերթաունի հսկայական դղյակը։
Արդեն ավելի քան հարյուր տարի է՝ տեղի բնակիչները պատմում են ինչ-որ «Օվերթաունի սպիտակ լեդիի» մասին, ում ուրվականը ժամանակ առ ժամանակ երևում է անցորդներին։
Ահա առանձնատան մոտ արված  լուսանկարներից մեկը, որի վրա իբր երևում է այդ առեղծվածային կինը։
 
Կա նաև մի ավանդույթ, ըստ որի՝ այս կամրջից Կևին Մոյ անունով ոմն մեկը ցած է նետել իր նորածին երեխային, ում մեջ, ինչպես նրան էր թվացել, ինչ-որ անմաքուր ուժ էր մտել։ Իսկ հետո, սեփական արարքից սարսափած, նա ինքն է ցած նետվել։ Այսօր մարդիկ ասում են, որ երեխայի ու նրա հոր ուրվականներն են շներին ստիպում կատարել այդ մահացու ցատկերը։ Մյուսներն էլ ասում են, թե շներն ինչ-որ կերպ զգում են ուրվականներին ու ցատկում են «մարդկանց» օգնելու։
 
3-ամյա սպրինգեր-սպանիել տեսակի Քեսի անունով շունը մեկն է կենդանի մնացած այն շներից, որոնք ցատկել են կամրջից։ Նա անսպասելիորեն ցատկել էր կամրջից, երբ իր տիրուհու՝ Էլիս Տրևորոուի և նրա որդու՝ Թոմասի հետ զբոսնում էր կամրջով։
Տրևորոուն պատմել է կատարվածի մասին.
 
Մենք նոր էինք դուրս եկել ավտոմեքենայից, և Քեսին միանգամից վազեց կամրջի մոտ։ Հետո նա շրջեց գլուխը, նայեց ու կտրուկ ցատկ կատարեց։ Բարեբախտաբար, Քեսին ողջ մնաց։
 
Իսկ Դոննա Կուպերի կոլի տեսակի Բեն անունով շունը բավականին լուրջ տուժել էր ողբերգական ցատկից հետո՝ կոտրելով թաթը, ժանիքն ու վնասելով մեջքը։
