Թեյլոր Սմիթը 12 տարեկան էր: Նա հիվանդացել էր, բայց ոչ ոք նման ավարտի չէր սպասում: Բոլոր ախտանիշների համաձայն՝ խոսքը սովորական հարբուխ մասին էր՝ կոկորդի ցավ, ջերմություն, ոտքերի թեթև ցավ… Ոչ ոք չէր մտածում, որ աղջնակի համար մահապատիժ էր սահմանված:
Թեյլորը երկար ժամանակ չէր ապաքինվում, և ծնողները որոշեցին բժշկի մոտ տանել: Վերջինս նույնպես հաստատեց՝ հարբուխ է: Թեյլորը մահացավ: Փաստորեն, աղջիկը տառապել է թոքերի վարակով: Նրա իրերի մեջ ծնողները մի տուփ գտան, որտեղ աղջնակը պահպանում էր նամակները:
Ծրարներից մեկի վրա գրված էր, որ այն պետք է բացել 2023 թվականի ապրիլի 13-ից ոչ շուտ: Սակայն Թեյլորն այլևս կենդանի չէր, և նրա ծնողները որոշեցին բացել ծրարը: Աղջիկն ինքն իրեն նամակ էր գրել.
«Սիրելի Թեյլոր
Շնորհավորում եմ դպրոցն ավարտելու կապակցությամբ: Սակայն եթե դեռ չես ավարտել, մի հուսահատվիր, անպայման ստացիր դիպլոմը: Չմոռանաս, որ այսօր Ալանայի ծննդյան օրն է: Արդեն 11 տարեկա՞ն: Իմ ժամանակում նա դեռ 1 տարեկան է:
Ինչպիսի՞ հարաբերություններ ունես Աստծու հետ: Աղոթու՞մ ես, Կտակարան կարդու՞մ ես: Ինչ-որ բան արե՞լ ես Աստծու համար: Եթե ոչ, ապա անպայման արա դա հենց հիմա: Ինձ համար միևնույնն է, թե ինչ է կատարվում քո կյանքում: Նրան ծեծել են, տանջել, ծաղրել և խաչել են հանուն քեզ: Անմեղ մարդու, ով երբեք ոչ մի վատ բան չէր արել:
Ահա և վերջ: Այս նամակը գրելուց հետո 10 տարի է անցել: Շատ բան է տեղի ունեցել: Լավ և վատ: Բայց սա կյանք է և պետք է հաշտվել»:
Ասում են Աստված իր մոտ է տանում լավագույններին: Հնարավոր է, դա այդպես է: Այս աղջնակի անկեղծ սիրտը շարունակում է փայլել անգամ նրա մահից հետո:
