♦Ըստ ցանկության առաձնացրեք մանդարինի հատիկները կամ թողեք դրանք ամբողջական։ Ինչևէ, եթե պատրաստվում եք այն հիմնականում աղցանի համար օգտագործել, ապա ցանկալի է առանձնացնել դրանք։ 
♦ Մանդարինի հատիկները լցրեք ստերիլիզացված բանկաների մեջ՝ վերևի ½ հատվածը ազատ թողնելով։
♦Պատրաստեք օշարակի լուծույթը, դրա խտության աստիճանն՝ ըստ ճաշակի։ Շաքարը չի պահպանում մանդարինները. մանդարինները պահպանվում են պահածոյացման պրոցեսի և ջրային շոգու տեխնիկայի շնորհիվ։ Դուք կարող եք պարզապես տաք ջուր լցնել բանկաների մեջ, եթե չեք ցանկանում շաքարավազ օգտագործել։ Խորհուրդ է տրվում ջուրն ու շաքարավազն օգտագործել 2։1 հարաբերակցությամբ։ Անհրաժեշտ է ջրի և շաքարի խառնուրդը դնել միջին ջերմաստիճանի կրակի վրա այնքան, մինչև շաքարավազը հալվի, որից հետո այն հասցնել եռման աստիճանի և միանգամից լցնել մրգով լի բանկաների մեջ։ 
♦ Հերմետիկ փակեք բանկաները։
♦ Տեղադրեք դրանք եռացող ջրի մեջ ու թողեք 15 րոպե եռալ։
♦ Պահածոները կարող եք պահել մութ զով վայրում մինչև 9 ամիս։
