Աշխարհում ծնված առաջին յոթնյակը տոնում է իր 18–ամյակը (լուսանկարներ)

Քեննի ու Բոբբի Մակկոյների մոտ 1997 թ.–ի նոյեմբերի 19–ին ծնվեց աշխարհում առաջին յոթնյակը, որտեղ բոլոր փոքրիկները ողջ մնացին։ 4 տղա և 3 աղջիկ. այս սենսացիոն նորությունը տարածվեց ամբողջ աշխարհով։
Փոքրիկները անհավանական թեթև էին կշռում։ Նրանցի ամենթեթևն ընդամենը 1130 գրամ էր։ Բժիշկներն արեցին ամեն հնարավորը, որպեսզի անհավանական յոթնյակը ողջ մնա։ Նրանց ծնունդը կոչեցին «բժշկական հրաշք»։ Փոքրիկների լուսանկարները հեղինակավոր Time և Newsweek ամսագրերի շապիկներին էր, իսկ բոլոր ազգային հեռուստաալիքները անդադար տեղեկատվություն էին հաղորդում նորածինների առողջական վիճակի մասին։
Իրենց փոքրիկներին ծնողները կոչեցին Քեննի, Քելսի, Նատալի, Բրենդոն, Ալեքսիս, Նատան և Ջոել։ Երեխաները նաև ավագ քույր ունեին` Միքաելան, ով մեծ էր նրանցից մեկ տարով։ Այսօր նա ամուսանցել է և ապրում է առանձին։
Մակկոյ ընտանիքում հրաշքը տեղի ունեցավ երկորրդ երեխայի պլանավորման ժամանակ։ Ուլտրաձայնային հետազոտության ժամանակ բժիշկներն ապշած էին։ Հավատացյալ ամուսինները որոշեցին չխախտել աստվածային մտադրությունը և բոլոր 7–ին էլ ապրելու հնարավորություն տվեցին։
Ալեքսիսն ու Նատան ծնվեցին մանկական ուղեղային կաթվածով`առավել հայտնի ДЦП–ով։ Այդ պատճառով էլ նրանց վիրահատեցին, որպեսզի հետագայում կարողանան քայլել։
Նրանց ծնունդից հետո մի շարք բարեգործական կազմակերպություններ իրենց օգնությունն առաջարկեցին բազմազավակ ընտանիքին։ Առաջին նվերը տունն էր` 7 ննջարանով, ինչպես նաև երեխաները հնարավորություն ստացան անվճար սնվել և հանգստանալ արձակուրդների ժամանակ։ Իսկ որոշ համալսարաններ անվճար կրթություն խոստացան յոթնյակին։
Այս տարի նրանք տոնում են իրենց 18–ամյակը։
Դպրոցից հետո Բրենդոնը պատրաստվում է մեկնել բանակ, Ալեքսիսը ցանկանում է դաստիարակ դառնալ, Նատալին` տարրական դասարանների ուսուցչուհի, Քեննի–կրտսերը` շինարար, իսկ Նատան և Ջոելը ծրագրավորող են ցանկանում դառնալ։
Քելսին երգում է Այովա նահանգի երգչախմբում և երազում է երգչուհու կարիերայի մասին։ Բացի քույր ու եղբայր լինելուց նրանք նաև լավ ընկերներ են։
8 երեխայի մայր Բոբբին պատմում է.
–Ես միշտ կհիշեմ այն օրը, երբ մենք իմացանք, որ այդքան շատ փոքրիկ ենք ունենալու... այնքան մտահոգություն ու վախ կար։ Բայց մենք հավատում էին երկնային աջակցությանը։ Աստված իր պլաններն ուներ մեզ հետ։ Մենք պակաս փորձություններ չենք հաղթահարել, բայց նաև շատ ուրախ պահեր ենք ապրել։ Եվ այսօր ես այնպե՜ս եմ հպարտանում իմ երեխաներով։ Ովքե՞ր են նրանք, եթե ոչ Աստծո պարգևներ։
