Իրական Պինոկիո. երեխան, ում ուղեղն աճում է քթից

22-ամյա Էմմի Փուլն առաջին անգամ պարզեց, որ իր փոքրիկի մոտ խնդիրներ կան, երբ հղիության 20-րդ շաբաթում սքանավորման հետազոտությունից հետո բժիշկները նրան հայտնեցին, որ երեխայի դեմքին անսպասելի փափուկ հյուսվածքներ են աճում։
Ինչևէ, Փուլը շոկի մեջ էր, երբ 2014թ.-ի փետրվարին Ուելսի համալսարանական հիվանդանոցում լույս աշխարհ եկավ նրա փոքրիկը։
Երբ նրանք Օլիին տվեցին, որ գրկեմ, ես այնքան ապշած էի, որ չէի կարողանում խոսել։ Նա այնքան փոքրիկ էր, սակայն նրա դեմքին գոլֆի գնդակի չափ հսկայական գունդ կար։
Սկզբում ես չգիտեի, թե ինչ պետք է անեմ, սակայն ես գիտեի, որ կսիրեմ նրան, անկախ նրանից, թե ինչ տեսք նա կունենա։
Ավելի ուշ մագնիսառեզոնանսային սքանավորումը հաստատել է, որ գունդն իրենից ներկայացնում է էնցեֆալոցելե (գլխուղեղի ջրակալում)։ Սա արատ է, որի պատճառով ուղեղը սկսում է անցքի միջոցով դուրս աճել գանգից:

Բժիշկները սարսափած մորը հայտնել են, որ ստիպված էին վիրահատել Օլիին, որպեսզի կարողանան բացել նրա քթանցքները՝ հնարավորություն տալով նրան շնչել։
Բժիշկները բացատրել են, որ նա կարող է վարակ և նույնիսկ մենինգիտ ձեռք բերել, եթե հանկարծակի հարված ստանա քթին։
2014թ․-ին երեխային վիրահատեցին Բիրմինգհեմի մանկական հիվանդանոցում։
Վիրահատության գործընթացը ներառել է գանգը բացելը, ուղեղի հավելյալ հեղուկը հեռացնելն ու քիթը «վերակառուցելը»։
Խանգարման հազվագյուտ լինելու հետևանքով բուժումը հնարավոր էր իրականացնել միայն Բիրմինգհեմում և Անգլիայի տարածքում երեք այլ մասնագիտացված կենտրոններում։
Մայրը պատմել է.
Վիրահատությունից հետո Օլին հսկայական զիգզագաձև սպի ուներ իր գլխի վրա։ Նա պետք է որ սարսափելի ցավեր ունենար, սակայն շարունակ ժպտում ու ծիծաղում էր։
Այժմ արդեն ամբողջովին առողջացած՝ Օլին սիրում է խաղալ իր չորսամյա քույրիկի հետ։
Երեխան դեռ վիրահատությունների կարիք կունենա ապագայում, սակայն բժիշկները սպասում են՝ տեսնելու, թե ինչպես կապաքինվի նրա գլխուղեղը, որպեսզի կարողանան իրականացնել հետագա վիրիահատությունները։
Մայրն իր անհանգստությունն է հայտնել այն թեմայով, որ երեխան երբեք նման չի լինի իր հասակակիցներին ու դպրոցում ծաղրանքի կենթարկվի, սակայն հավելել է, որ նա կատարյալ է հենց այնպես, ինչպես որ կա, և որ ոչ մի սխալ բան չկա այն երևույթի մեջ, որ նա տարբերվում է մյուսներից։
Օլին յուրահատուկ, խելացի, զվարճալի տղա է և զարմացնում է ինձ ամեն օր։ Նա յուրահատուկ փոքրիկ Պինոկիո է, և ես երբեք չեմ դադարի սիրել նրան։
