Էնջին և Նիկը ծանոթ էին դեռ ուսանող ժամանակից: Նրանց բոլորն իդեալական զույգ էին համարում: Համալսարանն ավարտելուց հետո, նրանք որոշեցին օրինականացնել իրենց հարաբերությունները:
Սիրահարված զույգը երազում էր հիասքանչ ապագայի մասին: Նրանք ծրագրում էին ունենալ մի քանի երեխաներ, լավ դաստիարակել նրանց, պատրաստել դպրոց գնալուն… Բայց ճակատագիրը խառնվեց նրանց երազանքներին:
Էնջին ոչ մի կերպ չէր կարողանում հղիանալ: Երիտասարդ զույգը դիմեց բժիշկներին, բայց հետազոտությունները ցույց տվեցին, որ նրանց մոտ ամեն ինչ կարգին է: Բժիշկները կարծում էին, որ անպտղության պատճառը կարող է Էնջիի վերապրած սթրեսը լինել:
Աղջկան խորհուրդ տվեցին հանգստացնող և քիչ նյարդայնանալ: Բայց դա ոչ մի արդյունք չտվեց: Այդ ժամանակ զույգը որոշեց արհեստական բեղմնավորում անել: Բայց այդտեղ էլ նրանց բախտը չբերեց: Էնջիի օրգանիզմը չընդունեց սաղմը:
Այնուամենայնիվ, Էնջին և Նիկը չէին դադարել երեխա ունենալու փորձերը: Նրանք որոշեցին, որ քանի որ իրենց սեփական երեխան չեն կարողանում ունենալ, ուրեմն կորդեգրեն երեխայի: Այստեղ նրանց բախտը բերեց: Նրանց հաջողվեց կապվել մի հղի կնոջ հետ, ով պատրաստ էր երեխա ունենալուց հետո հրաժարվել նրանից:
Բայց Էնջին և Նիկը դեռ չէին հասցրել ձևակերպել որդեգրման թղթերը, երբ նրանց անհավանական անակնկալ էր սպասում: Պարզվեց, որ Էնջիին հաջողվել է հղիանալ:
Հղությունն անցավ առանց որևէ բարդությունների, և շուտով այդ երջանիկ ընտանիքում հայտնվեցին միանգամից երկու փոքրիկներ: Երևում է՝ որդեգրումից հետո, Էնջին ավելի հանգիստ էր, այլևս ոչ մի սթրես չէր վերապրում, սերունդ տալ չկարողանալու մեծ բեռը ընկել էր նրա ուսերից… Եվ բնությունն իր գործն արեց:
Այս պատմությունը ստիպում է մեզ հավատալ հրաշքներին:
