Մենք չենք հասկանում ինքներս մեզ: Եթե մենք մեր բնավորությունն այնքան էլ լավ չենք ճանաչում, ակնհայտ է, որ մենք չենք կարողանա հասկանալ, թե ում ենք փնտրում ամուսնության նպատակով:
Մենք չենք հասկանում այլ մարդկանց:Փոխադարձ շփումների ընթացքում մարդկանց թվում է, թե նրանք շատ լավ ճանաչում են միմյանց: Երբեմն նրանց կարծիքով` մի քանի անգամ միասին լինելը, նրա ընտանիք այցելելը պատկերացում է տալիս մարդու մասին: Բայց սա նույնն է, ինչ սկսնակ օդաչուն կարծի, թե կարող է թռչել: Անձի հետ ամուսնանալու համար անհրաժեշտ է ավելի շատ բան իմանալ նրա բնավորության մասին:
Մենք սովոր չենք երջանիկ լինել: Մենք հավատում ենք, որ սիրո մեջ երջանկություն ենք փնտրում, սակայն դա այնքան էլ հեշտ չէ: Իրականում մենք փնտրում ենք այն, ինչ մեզ ծանոթ է:
Միայնակ լինելը պարզապես սարսափելի է: Եթե մենակ մնալն անտանելի է, ուրեմն մարդ չի կարող գտնվել ճիշտ իրավիճակում, որը նրան հնարավորություն կտա որոշում կայացնել` անձին որպես զույգ ընտրել կամ չընտրել:
Մենք «սիրո դպրոցներ» չենք հաճախում: Սովորաբար մարդիկ գրականություն չեն կարդում սիրո մասին, հաճախ հարցեր չեն տալիս ամուսնացած անձանց: Մենք ցանկանում ենք սառեցնել երջանկությունը:
