Արդյոք Ադրբեջանը որեւէ մեկի խոսքի՞ն էր սպասում՝ պատերազմ սկսելու համար. այդ ռիսկի մասին հայտարարվել էր դեռեւս 2018-ին. «Ժողովուրդ»

«Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը գրում է. «Երկար ժամանակ է, ինչ հասարակական-քաղաքական շրջանակները քննարկում են թեման, որ Ադրբեջանի համբերության բաժակը լցվեց այն պահից, երբ Փաշինյանն արտաբերեց «Արցախը Հայաստան է եւ վերջ» արտահայտությունը: Օրեր առաջ նման միտք արտահայտեց նաեւ 1-ին նախագահ Լեւոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանը, որը, ի թիվս այլ մեղադրանքների, խոսեց նաեւ Փաշինյանի վերոնշյալ արտահայտության մասին: Իրականում հասկանալի է, որ մի հայտարարությունը չէր կարող մարտական դիրքի բերել հրացանները։
Ադրբեջանը հարձակվելու մտադրություն միշտ է ունեցել, քանի որ ռազմական բալանսը խախտվել էր դեռեւս 2003-2004թթ-ից, երբ Ադրբեջան սկսեցին հոսել միլիարդավոր նավթադոլարներ, ու այդ երկիրը սկսեց բացահայտ խոսել Արցախի հարցը ռազմական ճանապարհով լուծելու մասին: Իսկ 2018-ի ապրիլին ԱԺ ամբիոնից հայտարարվեց, թե մենք չպետք է հույս փայփայենք, որ Ադրբեջանը չի փորձելու ռազմական ճանապարհով լուծել Ղարաբաղի հարցը։ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանը մշտապես հիշեցրել է, որ դեռեւս 2018-ի ապրիլին Սերժ Սարգսյանը հայտարարում էր բանակցությունների ավարտն ու պատերազմի տրամաբանական սկիզբը։ Հիմա Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի կողմնակիցները մշտապես բարձրացնում են հարցը. իսկ ինչպե՞ս ենք մենք պատրաստվել պատերազմին։ Ոչ մի թիզ հող, Բաքվում թեյ խմելու պատրաստակամության եւ նմանատիպ այլ արտահայտություններն ու ձեւակերպումները եղել է հայ քաղաքական գործիչների կամ նրանց թիմակիցների սիրելի գործելաոճը` հայրենասեր ու հայրենատեր երեւալու համար:
Այդ միտքը ներարկվել է հասարակության մեջ միշտ։ Իսկ իրականում բարձրաստիճան շատ զինվորականներ դեռ տարիներ առաջ շշուկով խոսում էին, որ այսպես երկար դիմանալ չենք կարող։ Թեեւ նախկին իշխանությունները հայտարարում են, թե իրենք երկիր պահել են ամեն գնով, այնուամենայնիվ, գործող իշխանությունը հիշեցնում է, որ բանակից անհայտ պատճառներով ազատվել են հազարներով մարդիկ, դրա պատճառով միջդիրքային հեռավորությունները գնալով նոսրանում էին։
Դե իսկ տնտեսությունը չէր հասցնում այն ծավալների զենք-զինամթերք գնել, ինչ չափով ազերիների ձախակողմյան նավթադոլարներն էին գեներացնում։ Ավելին, միլիարդները նաեւ միջազգային հարթակներում էին սկսել հարցեր լուծել: Այսպիսով, պետք է արձանագրենք, որ 44-օրյա պատերազմում մենք պարտվել էինք դեռ վաղուց։ Ուղղակի գործող իշխանության օրոք սկսվեց, եւ վատ կառավարումն էլ իր դերն ունեցավ պարտության հարցում»։
