Ամերիկյան բժիշկ Ռոբին Չատկանը նշում է, որ հակաբակտերիալ օճառի մշտական օգտագործումից կարող է վատանալ առողջությունը։ Մաքրությունը, ըստ նրա, կարելի է պահպանել սովորական ջրով շփելով կամ փափուկ օճառ օգտագործելով, որը բաղկացած է օրգանական կոմպոնենտներից։
Օրվա սխալ ռեժիմի, սխալ սնման, ծխելու, ոչ ռեգուլյար սնվելու, ալկոհոլի հետ նույն շարքում կարելի է դասել հակաբակտերիալ օճառով լվացվելը։

Ամեն օր հակաբակտերիալ օճառով լողանալը ոչնչացնում է այն բակտերիաները, որոնք պաշտպանում են մաշկը ցանից և էկզեմայից։ Այդ պատճառով ավելի լավ է երեկոյան լողանալ միայն ջրով։ Չատկանը նշում է, որ կեղտից մարդիկ չեն կարող հիվանադանալ, այնինչ բակտերիաների բալանսի խախտումից իմունիտետը կարող է թուլանալ։
