Հոկտեմբերի 12-ին «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության նախագահ, «Պատիվ ունեմ» խմբակցության ղեկավար Արթուր Վանեցյանը հանդիպել է Հայկական Բարեգործական Ընդհանուր Միության Կանադայի մարմնի ատենապետ Շահէ Թանաշյանի և վարչության ընդհանուր քարտուղար Հակոբ Արսլանյանի հետ:
Հանդիպմանը քննարկվել են Արցախի Հանրապետության ժողովրդի անվտանգությանը, սոցիալական պաշտպանությանը, ինչպես նաև համահայկական օրակարգին առնչվող մի շարք հարցեր:
 
ՀԲԸՄ Կանադայի մարմնի ներկայացուցիչները ներկայացրել են Արցախի Հանրապետությունում նախանշված ծրագրերի իրականացման գաղափարները՝ նշելով, որ Սփյուռքը մշտապես կանգնած է լինելու Արցախի ժողովրդի թիկունքին:
Արթուր Վանեցյանը վերահաստատել է «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության և «Պատիվ ունեմ» դաշինքի դիրքորոշումը առ այն, որ Արցախի ինքնորոշման հարցը փակված չէ և պետք է լուծվի ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակներում տարվող բանակցությունների միջոցով: Վերջինս ընդգծել է բանակցությունների միջոցով Ադրբեջանի կողմից գերեվարված անձանց, ինչպես նաև օկուպացված ԱՀ տարածքների վերադարձի անհրաժեշտությունը: Առանձին կարևորություն է ենթադրում նաև արցախյան վերջին պատերազմի ընթացքում Ադրբեջանի գործած ռազմական հանցագործությունների, այդ թվում՝ ահաբեկիչների ներգրավման միջազգայնորեն հաստատված փաստի առիթով միջազգային համապատասխան ատյանների կողմից Ադրբեջանին պատասխանատվության ենթարկելու հարցը:
Արթուր Վանեցյանը Հայաստան-Սփյուռք արդյունավետ համագործակցության հաստատման տեսանկյունից հատկապես կարևորել է վստահության վերականգնման հարցը, որը խաթարվել է ՀՀ իշխանությունների անպատասխանատու և անշրջահայաց քայլերի հետևանքով:
 
Արթուր Վանեցյանը ներկայացրել է «Հայրենիք» կուսակցության տեսլականը ՀՀ և ԱՀ անվտանգային համակարգի վերականգնման, ինչպես նաև ներքաղաքական մի շարք հարցերի վերաբերյալ: Մասնավորապես, նշվել է, որ ՀՀ և ԱՀ վերելքի նախապայման է գործող վարչախմբի հեռացումը:
 
Կողմերը պայմանավորվել են զարգացնել հաստատված հարաբերությունները` ի շահ հայկական երկու պետությունների և ողջ աշխարհասփյուռ հայության:
