Մասնագետի խոսքով, ամեն մարդ լավ հանգստի եւ հաճելի ժամանցի վերաբերյալ իր կարծիքն ունի: Որոշելով, թե ինչ եք անելու Նոր տարվա տոնին, ճիշտ կլինի հաշվի առնել սեփական նախընտրությունները, ոչ թե այն, թե ինչն է հաճելի կամ ինչ է անում մեծամասնությունը:
Ինչ-որ մեկին դուր է գալիս միայնության մեջ հեռուստացույց դիտել ազատ ժամանակ, մեկ ուրիշին էլ` ժամանակ անցկացնել մեծ եւ աղմկոտ հավաքույթներում: Ինչ-որ մեկն ուզում է Նոր Տարին տոնել ընտանիքի գրկում, մեկ ուրիշն էլ` գնալ ռեստորան կամ գիշերային ակումբ կամ ուրիշ ինչ-որ տեղ: Ինչ-որ մեկին դուր է գալիս հունվարի սկզբին հյուր գնալ, մեկ ուրիշին էլ այդ այցերի մասին մտածելն իսկ տհաճ է: Հոգեբանի կարծիքով շատ կարեւոր է Նոր տարին տոնել այնպես, ինչպես հենց ձեզ է հաճելի: Հետագա օրերն էլ անցկացնել այնպես, ինչպես ձեզ համար լավ կլինի: Օրինակ, եթե ուզում եք հյուր գնալ, գնացեք: Եթե չեք ուզում, ձեզ մի ստիպեք:

Հոգեբանի կարծիքով շատերի մոտ հետամանորյա սթրեսի պատճառն այն է, որ Նոր տարուց հրաշք էին սպասում` արտասովոր մի բան, բայց նրանց սպասելիքները չեն արդարացել: Բացի այդ, սովորաբար բոլորը պատրաստվում են հենց Նոր տարվա գիշերվա տոնակատարությանը, իսկ հաջորդ օրերին ինչ անել, չեն պատկերացնում: Հնարավոր է, իմաստ ունի նախապես մտածել, թե ինչով եք ձեզ զբաղեցնելու հունվարի 2-ից հետո եւ մինչեւ Նոր տարվա արձակուրդի ավարտը:
