Ֆուլվիա Փելեգրինոն 108.000 դոլար է ծախսել պլաստիկ վիրահատության համար և կանգ չի առնելու, մինչև չհասնի «կատարելության»: Տրանսգենդեր կինը բազմիցս լցրել է շուրթերն ու այտերը, կրծքի 4 իմպլանտ է տեղադրել և 2 անգամ ճարպի հեռացում է արել: Բոլոր վիրահատությունների ժամանակ նա ստացել է իր կնոջ աջակցությունը:

Թեև նրանք այժմ ավելի շատ քույրեր են, քան ամուսնացած զույգ, բայց Մարիսան՝ 56-ամյա իտալացու կինը, միշտ կանգնած է իր ամուսնու կողքին: Ֆուլվիան ընդամնեը 15 տարեկան է եղել, երբ առաջին անգամ պարզել է, որ տրանսգենդեր է, բայց վախեցել է իր քահանա հորից և իր զգացումները գաղտնի է պահել:

«Ես ապրում էի իմ ընտանիքի հետ, ովքեր շատ նեղ մտածելակերպ ունեին և շատ կրոնական էին: Ես երբեք իմ ցանկությունը չեմ բարձրաձայնել, քանի որ դա անհնար էր իմ հոր հետ: Նա ուներ 3 որդի և ուզում էր ունենալ միայն 3 որդի»,- նշել է Ֆուլվիան:

Իր էությունը նա գաղտնի է պահել մինչ իր կնոջը 32 տարի առաջ հանդիպելը: Նա գաղտնի այցելում էր գեյ-ակումբներ, իր ավտոտնակում գաղտնի կանացի հագուստ էր հագնում, շպարվում: «Ես երբեք իմ այդ կողմը ցույց չէի տալիս, որովհետև ամաչում էի»,- ասել է նա: Իր տղամարդկությունը ընդգծելու համար գնել է հրացաններ ու թանկարժեք մեքենաներ: Սակայն դա ընդամենը դիմակ էր, ոչ թե իր բուն էությունը:

Վերջապես 16 տարի անց նա այլևս չէր կարող թաքնվել և խոստովանել է Մարիսային, որ փոփոխություն է ուզում: Բնականաբար, կնոջը դժվար էր ընդունել, սակայն այսօր նրանք քույրեր են, ապրում են միասին, վիճում են որպես 2 նորմալ մարդիկ, այլ ոչ որպես ամուսին ու կին: Ֆուլվիան փոփոխությունը սկսել է հորմոնային թերապիայով, ապա պլաստիկ վիրահատություններ են արվել:

Իսկ Մարիսան հոգեբանի մոտ է գնացել, որպեսզի կարողանա իր նոր կյանքին հարմարվել: Ֆուլվիայի ծնողները հրաժարվել են հանդուրժել դա: «Այնքան դժվար էր, երբ հայրս մահացել էր, մեզ թույլ չտվեցին մասնակցել հուղարկավորությանը, քանի որ ամաչում էին մեզ համար: Միակ մարդիկ, որ ընդունել են ինձ, եղբայրներս էին»,- ասում է Ֆուլվիան:
