Սեպտեմբերյան մարտերի մասնակից, զոհված զինծառայող Դավիթ Գիշյանի հայրը՝ Բարսեղ Գիշյանը, ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է․

«Այսօր հուլիսի 7-ն է, տղաս այսօր պետք է ավարտեր ծառայությունը և վերադառնար տուն, բայց չվերադարձավ, ավելի ճիշտ Սյունիքի լեռներից վերադարձավ Եռաբլուր՝ այն էլ վրաց-ազերիական «Կրասնի մոստ» անցակետով։ Նույն ժամին, երբ 32 հայ զինծառայողների մարմիններով բեռնատարը Վրաստանից Նոյեմբերյանով հասնում էր Սևան, հանդիպակաց ուղղությամբ իր մեքենայով անցել է աղջիկս, գնում էր Նոյեմբերյան եղբոր համար մոմ վառելու Նոյեմբերյանի բարձր սարերից մեկի՝ Սրբասարի գագաթի սրբավայրում, որի ստորոտում ամառները միշտ անց են կացրել իմ երեխաները։

Տղաս ուներ աստվածային մարդկայնություն ու մեծահոգություն, մարդկային կարեկցանք։ Մի անգամ երբ փոքր էր, գիշերվա մթին սարերում տեսավ ծանր անձրևի տակ ընկած մի գյուղացու՝ թաց ու անշոր, 2 հազար մետր բարձրություն, ցուրտ, մութ․․․ ինձ ստիպեց նրան տանել մեր կացարան ու պահել մինչև լույս․․․ Մի ուրիշ անգամ, հիշում եմ, Երևանում շենքի պատշգամբից նայում էի ներքև, կատուն ընկավ մեքենայի տակ․․․ կարդոնից տուփ սարքեց, շորեր դրեց, կատվին դրեց տուփի մեջ և տարավ դաշտում թաղեց։ Տղաս բնավորությամբ շռայլ էր, երկնային մի բան կար նրա այդ շռայլության մեջ ու երևի դա կապ ունի նրա զոհվելու հետ։ Համացանցում շատ ինֆորմացիա ու վիդեոներ կան, համաձայն որոնց, երբ ազերիները կանգնում են ծանր վիրավոր տղայիս գլխին, ավելի ուշ նրան (ծանր վիրավորին) սպանում են և հետ տալիս՝ կեղծ բժշկական օգնություն բեմադրելուց հետո։ Դա ճիշտ չէ, նրան ծանր վիրավոր վիճակում չեն սպանել, բայց դաժան են եղել։ Որոշ մանրամասների մասին կգրեմ ավելի ուշ։

Ամեն օր քայլում եմ Եռաբլուրի անմեղ հայացքով նայող պատանիների՝ մեր զինվորների նկարների միջով, հիմնականում 18-22 տարեկաններ են, պատանեկան ռոմանտիզմով ու հայրենասիրությամբ, իսկ նրանց ընտանիքները՞ ․․․ կարողանալո՞ւ են երբևէ ոտքի կանգնել ․․․ կասկածում եմ, նրանց ընտանիքներում դեռ հաջորդ սերունդն է քաշելու 19-22 տարեկան կործանված կյանքի կորստի բեռը: Ու միայն պրոֆեսիոնալ, քիչ զոհեր տվող, նեղ մասնագիտացած, տեխնոլոգիապես հագեցած բանակն է ունակ այս ամենի առաջն առնելու։ Բայց ինչ բանակ առանց դաշնակից բանակների (լեռների ծայրերին դիրքերում ծվարած՝ առանց դաշնակիցների), ի՞նչ բանակ առանց զարգացած տնտեսության, քաղաքական համակարգի, հասարակության, կրթության, գիտության։

Երևանում, Փարաքարի կողքը, դաշտերի միջով մի ճանապարհ կա, երբ տղաս փոքր էր, ուսերիս դրած հաճախ քայլում էի այդ ճանապարհով։ Հիմա նա չկա ու այդ ճանապարհը մագնիսի նման քաշում է, անվերջ ճանապարհս փոխում եմ, որ այդ ճանապարհով գնամ-գամ ու էսպես անվերջ, երևի մինչև կյանքիս վերջ․․․ այդ ճանապարհի վրա մնացել է այն, ինչ կար 18 տարի առաջ՝ 1-2 տարեկան տղաս և ես․․․ նա՝ իմ փոքրիկ տղան, նստած իմ ուսերին։ Ամեն օր քայլում եմ այդ ճանապարհով, նրան զգում ուսերիս, հոգիս ցավում է, բայց այդ ճանապարհից հրաժարվելու ուժ առայժմ չունեմ»։
