«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
«Փաստ» թերթի աղբյուրները տեղեկացնում են, որ Երևանի ավագանու ընտրություններում «Ապրելու երկիր» կուսակցության կողմից առաջադրված քաղաքապետի թեկնածու Մանե Թանդիլյանը երեկ այցելել է Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպանատուն և հանդիպել դեսպանի հետ։ Հանդիպման ժամանակ, ըստ մեր տեղեկությունների, քննարկվել են Երևանի ընտրություններին առնչվող հարցեր։
Ի դեպ, կա կարծիք, որ Արևմուտքը, մեղմ ասած, դեմ չէ Երևանում վերցնել իշխանությունը՝ «ստավկա» դնելով մասնավորաբար Մանե Թանդիլյանի և արևմտյան արժեհամակարգ դավանող ուժերի վրա: Կա՞ նման բան, հարցրեցինք «Ապրելու երկիր» կուսակցության նախընտրական շտաբի պետ Մեսրոպ Առաքելյանին, նամանավանդ, որ «Ազգային առաջընթաց» կուսակցության կողմից քաղաքապետի թեկնածու առաջադրված Հայկ Մարությանը ևս համարվում է ամերիկյան արժեհամակարգի կրող, և որի հետ համագործակցությունը կուսակցությունը չի բացառել:
Առաքելյանը չհերքեց հանդիպման փաստը՝ հավելելով, որ Մանե Թանդիլյանը ամեն օր տարբեր հանդիպումներ է ունենում, որոնք, ըստ անհրաժեշտության, ներկայացվում են հանրությանը։ Ինչ վերաբերում է Արևմուտքի «ստավկաներին», ապա Առաքելյանը հրաժարվեց որևէ մեկնաբանություն անել:
