Իսրայելի հետ իր հարաբերությունները պարզելիս՝ Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիբ Էրդողանը երբեմն անցնում է լկտիության չափերը։ Երեկ էլ ընդհանրապես Իսրայելին մեղադրելով ցեղասպանությունների մեջ՝ նա չի դիմացել գայթակղությանը և խոսել է Հայաստանի մասին։ Էրդողանը նշել է, թե Մերձավոր արևելքի հակամարտության արդյունքում Իսրայելը կհիասթափվի այնպես, ինչպես Հայաստանը ղարաբաղյան հակամարտությունում։ «Մեր հողերի մասին տարիներով հետապնդած երազանքից հետո, Հայաստանը դաս քաղեց ղարաբաղյան պատերազմում ու իր տեղն ընկավ, Իսրայելը նույնպես կհիասթափվի, քանի դեռ մենք՝ 85 միլիոն մարդ, միասնական ենք, մեզ ոչ ոք չի կարող կոտրել, հետևաբար ավելի ուժեղ և ժամանակակից բանակը մեզ համար անհրաժեշտություն է»,- Թուրքիայի խորհրդարանում ասել է Էրդողանը՝ ելույթ ունենալով իշխող «Արդարություն և զարգացում» կուսակցության հետ հանդիպմանը։

44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո թուրքական իշխանությունները քանիցս հայտարարել են, թե իրենք առանձնապես կապ չունեն 44-օրյա պատերազմի հետ, ընդամենն օգնություն են ցուցաբերել Ադրբեջանին։ Երբեմն-երբեմն Թուրքիայի նախագահի շուրթերից արտահայտություններ են հնչում, որոնք վկայում են, որ Թուրքիան հենց առաջիններից մեկն է 44-օրյա պատերազմի շահառուներից, և այս դեպքում էլ փաստը վկայում է, որ հենց ինքն է անմիջական մասնակից Հայաստանի և Արցախի դեմ պատերազմ սանձազերծելու, ավելին Էրդողանի այս հայտարարությունը կարելի է գնահատել որպես հերթական սպառնալիք Հայաստանի հասցեին։

Հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման մասին երազող Փաշինյանը, մինչդեռ, սովոր է նման հայտարարություններին երբեք չի արձագանքել, սպառնալիքներն էլ մի կողմ է դրել՝ հայտարարելով, թե իրենք խաղաղության դարաշրջանի են գնում և կարգավորում են հարաբերությունները Թուրքիայի հետ։ Իրականում Թուրքիային որևէ կարգավորում անհրաժեշտ չէ, ընդհակառակն ամեն գնով ցանկանում է ավարտին հասցնել հայկական հարցը՝ փաշինյանական վարչախմբին պարտադրելով դառնալ իր լիակատար խամաճիկ։
