44-օրյա պատերազմի հանգամանքները քննող հանձանաժողովն առաջիկա օրերին կավարտի իր աշխատանքները և այլևս կաշխատի ամփոփիչ զեկույցի վրա։ Երեկ հանձնաժողովում «հարցաքննել» են Արցախի պաշտպանության բանակի նախկին հրամանատար Սամվել Բաբայանին և լրագրողների հետ ճեպազրույցն ու Սամվել Բաբայանի հայտարարությունները փաստում են, որ ի սկզբանե հանձնաժողովը ձևավորվել և աշխատել է ընդամենը մեկ նպատակի՝ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի դեմքն ամեն գնով պարզաջրելու համար։

Սամվել Բաբայանը հայտարարել է, թե 44-օրյա պատերազմի ժամանակ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի մեղավորությունը ոչ ճիշտ կադրային քաղաքականությունն է եղել, երկրորդ խնդիրն էլ այն է, որ հավատացել է մարդկանց։ Մասնավորապես Սամվել Բաբայանը մեղադրանքի սլաքներն ուղղել է զինվորականության վրա, նշել, թե ղեկավարների մի մասը բավարար պատրաստություն չի ունեցել, սակայն Փաշինյանը վստահել և նշանակել է։

Նույն Սամվել Բաբայանը 44-օրյա պատերազմից հետո ցուցմունք էր տվել Արցախի դատախազությանը և բառացի հայտարարել. «Նոյեմբերի 9-ի երեկոյան ես տեղեկացել եմ, որ Փաշինյանը պատրաստվում է ստորագրել հայտնի հայտարարությունը և այն կանխելու համար գնացել ենք ՀՀ կառավարություն, բայց արդեն ուշ էր, ինձ չի հաջողվել հանդիպել Փաշինյանին, ես Փաշինյանի այդ քայլը համարում եմ դավաճանություն։ Պատերազմի ընթացքում Արայիկ Հարությունյանի հետ պարբերաբար քննարկել ենք պատերազմի ընթացքն ու համոզվել, որ պաշտպանության բանակն ի վիճակի չի եղել դիմակայել հարձակմանը։ Արայիկ Հարությունյանը ցանկանում էր, որ օր առաջ ռազմական գործողությունները դադարեցվեն, սակայն գիտակցում էր , որ դա իրենից կախված չէ»,- ասել է Սամվել Բաբայանը։

Ըստ էության նրա այս հայտարարությունը հերթական անգամ վկայում է, որ գործ ունենք սեփական սկզբունքներն ամենաանամոթ կերպով վաճառքի հանելու հետ։ Նույն Բաբայանը, որ Փաշինյանին դավաճան էր համարում, այսօր ընդամենը մեղավոր է համարում ոչ ճիշտ կադրային քաղաքականության համար։ Հենց դա էլ, թերևս, Փաշինյանի ամենամեծ ցանկությունն է՝ իրեն դնել գժի տեղ և պնդել, որ ինքը ոչնչում մեղավոր չէ, իսկ մեղավորը հենց զինվորականությունն է։

Ցավալիորեն գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Սամվել Բաբայանն աջակցում է նման դավաճանական քայլին։
