Ի՞նչն էր Facebook-ի, Instagram-ի, YouTube-ի, Google-ի և մյուս ծառայությունների մասշտաբային խափանման պատճառը

Բազմաթիվ սոցիալական ցանցերում և կայքերում մարտի 5-ին մեծամասշտաբ խափանումներ տեղի ունեցան։ Տարբեր երկրների միլիոնավոր օգտատերեր չէին կարողանում մուտք գործել Facebook-ի իրենց օգտահաշիվ, Instagram-ի լրահոսը չէր թարմանում, խնդիրներ կային նաև YouTube-ի, Google-ի և այլ ծառայությունների ու կայքերի, այդ թվում՝ Discord-ի և TikTok-ի հետ։
Լայնածավալ խափանման պատճառը, ըստ ներկայումս առկա տեղեկությունների, ոչ թե կիբեռհարձակումն էր, ինչպես կարծում էին շատերը, այլ Եմենի հութիների հարձակումը, որի հետևանքով Կարմիր ծովում վնասվել էին ինտերնետի մալուխները, որոնք կապում են Ասիան, Եվրոպան և Աֆրիկան:
Ըստ տեղեկությունների՝ ստորջրյա 14 մալուխներից չորսը կտրվել էին, խոսքը Asia-Africa-Europe 1-ի (AAE-1), Europe India Gateway-ի (EIG), ինչպես նաև Seacom-ի և TGN-Gulf-ի մասին է, ինչի հետևանքով վնասվել էր թրաֆիքի մոտ 25%-ը: Արդյունքում, HGC-ն ստիպված է եղել թրաֆիքի մի մասը փոխել դեպի Եվրոպա Չինաստանով և Միացյալ Նահանգներով:
Եվրոպայի և Ասիայի միջև հաղորդակցության ավելի քան 90%-ն անցնում է Կարմիր ծովի ստորջրյա մալուխներով։ Ստորջրյա մալուխների հարցերով փորձագետ Թիմ Սթրոնջի խոսքով՝
այդ մալուխները ներկայումս 14-ն են, սակայն նախատեսվում է անցկացնել ևս վեցը։
«Բարեբախտաբար, հեռահաղորդակցության օպերատորները համակարգում ռեզերվային բարձր մակարդակ են ստեղծել. բազմաթիվ մալուխներ անցնում են Կարմիր ծովով»,- ասել է նա:
Կիբեռհարձակման վարկածը բավականին արագ հերքվեց։ Սպիտակ տան խոսնակ Կարին Ժան-Պիերն ասել է, որ վարչակազմը տեղյակ է խնդրի մասին, սակայն չի տեսնում վնասակար կիբեռգործունեության նշաններ կամ որևէ կապ ԱՄՆ նախագահական ընտրությունների փրայմերիզների հետ:
