Քաղաքագետ Հրանտ Մելիք-Շահնազարյանը գրում է․

«Հայաստանը զրո դիմադրողականություն ունի։ Ամեն բան, որ կատարվում է մեր երկրում, ի վերջո աղետ է դառնում գլխներիս։ Ու հենց սրա համար է, որ ասում եմ՝ պետություն չկա։ Հիմա Ալավերդու տարածաշրջանից ստացվող կադրերն եմ նայում ու հստակ տեսնում՝ մարդիկ մենակ են մնացել իրեն խնդիրների առաջ։ Պետությունն այնտեղ էլ չկա։ Բացակա է։

Փոխարենը, վստահ եմ, այսօր Հանրապետության հրապարակում կտեսնենք ոստիկանության հազարավոր զորքեր։ Բանակ, ԱԻՆ, պետություն կառուցելու փոխարեն այս իշխանությունները միայն ոստիկաններ են բուծել։ Ընդ որում, այո՝ հենց բուծել։ Ու այդքանից հետո գտնվում են մարդիկ, որ թույլ են տալիս իրենց քննադատել ժամը 16։00-ին հրապարակում հանրահավաք հրավիրած ազգային ուժերին։ 

Մինչդեռ աղետները կանխելու միակ ուղին այդ աղետների՝ կառավարության շենքում նստած գլխավոր պատճառի հեռացնելն է։ Ուրիշ տարբերակ չկա։ Նիկոլը պետք է հեռանա։ Չի կարելի թույլ տալ, որ նա շարունակի քանդել մեր երկիրը։ Քանի դեռ նա է բազմած վարչապետի աթոռին, բոլոր այս աղետները օրինաչափ են։ Սա պետք է լավ հասկանանք ու չշեղվենք ամենակարևոր օրակարգից։ 

Գիտեմ, դժվար է նայել մարդկանց ողբերգությանը։ Բայց նորից եմ կրկնում՝ այս աղետները չեն ընդհատվելու, քանի դեռ պետությունն այս վիճակում է։ Պետք է ազատագրել երկիրը մեզ աղետ բերող չարիքից, վերականգնել պետությունը ու հանգիստ առաջ ընթանալ։ Այլ օրակարգ չկա»։
