Նա բարեկեցիկ կյանքը փոխարինեց դժվարություններով` հանուն ազգի, անվտանգությունը նվիրաբերեց հանուն պետության, հանգիստը նվիրաբերեց հանուն ժողովրդի բարեկեցության ու արդյունքում հայտնվեց Բաքվի բանտում, խոշտանգվեց ու պայքարում է հանուն հայի ու Հայաստանի:
Ռուբեն Վարդանյանին աձնական թշնամի համարող Ալիևը չի կարողանում մարսել նրա գերեվարությունը, քանի որ բացի Հայաստանի իշխանություններից բոլորն են խոսում Ռուբենից ու դատապարտում Ադրբեջանի իշխանություններին:
Բացի Հայաստանի իշխանություններից, որովհետև սրանք նույնիսկ Բաքվի բանտում գտնվող Ռուբեն Վարդանյան անձից են սարսափում, ուր մնաց թե այնպես անեն, որ ազատեն գերությունից:
